your POV

I sigh, sitting down by my desk and putting my head on the counter. Another day... Always being worse than the day before... What did I do to deserve this pain??
Was I not good enough?
Was I...plain?
Was I... Just not what he wanted??
Was it because I... Never answered??

*flashback*
"_______" my boyfriend delirious says to me, dragging out my name. I sigh, working on the files my boss gave me.
" What?" I say bitterly as I see that some of the files are missing.
"So," he begins to say, sitting next to me, wrapping me in a hug.
" what do you say??" He asks, tracing circles on my collarbone.
" I'll tell you later."
*next day*
"Babe, tell me your answer, will you?"
" I'll tell you later delirious, I'm working."
* a week later*
"God dammit just answer the question baby!"

He never asked after that.. He was just, quiet. Never really said a word anymore. Soon, he just... Left. Not saying anything, just got up and left. A few days after he did that, I found out he died. Got hit by a car, it seemed. I haven't been the same since. The guilt was eating me up... It was my fault.. Wasn't it?
