Once I got back to the penthouse, I made my way straight to the kitchen for a snack, I'd been so busy stressing and getting lost today that I didn't even have time for lunch.
I opened the fridge and got myself a pudding cup before realizing there's a calendar on the fridge
On today's date it said:
Ethan/Aidan- Resident evil audition day
Alex- after-school boy scout meeting 2-7pm
Carter- Meeting with Associates 3-7 pm
-pick up Alex 7 pm
I checked the wall clock for the time and it was 3:15pm and looks like I'd be home alone until my siblings got back.
To be honest I was relieved and thankful for the alone time again.
As I stood leaned on the counter, Juli came and meowed, greeting me.
"Hey Juli" I smiled at her
She seemed happy in the big penthouse
Picking up my bag I headed back to my bedroom opening up my bag on the carpet, I began my assignments knowing the faster I get them out the way the better.

It must've been a while because when I was woken, it was by Alex.
"Wake up Yara, I'm home now we can play! I have this new toy Carter bought me-"
"Now now Alex-" I heard Carters voice from the doorway "you promised you'd take a bath if I got it for you so let's go-"
"But Carter!-" Alex whined
"And you can't come barging into Yaras room like that, okay?"
I rubbed my eyes, yawning
"that's okay Alex" I held his hand
"We'll play tomorrow" his frown turned into a smile and he skipped out the door past Carter.
"You alright Yara?" Carter asked putting his hands in his pockets
"Yes ofcourse" I said getting up off the carpet and standing by him
"First day of school?" He asked looking at all the textbooks on the floor
"Yeah, bit of a workload"
"Well let me know if you need anything, I'm gonna make sure Alex takes a bath and gets into bed, dinners in the fridge, the boys ate already"
"Thanks" I said yawning again as he walked out
"A bath huh?" I said to myself
It would be the perfect way to wind down, besides that wierdo from school was all over me anyway.
The bathroom was built so that it was outside the room, the door right next to mine in the hallway
So I gathered my pajamas and shower bag and headed to the bathroom
As I reached for the handle before I could turn it, it swung open, a breeze of hot steam rushing out of the bathroom.
I looked up and there was a boy, almost 6 foot tall, with blonde hair dripping wet, he was wearing nothing but a white towel low around his waist, the steam was lifting off his broad shoulders
"What the hell" He muttered holding the towel up with one hand
"Oh! Um sorry" I panicked turning around like I didn't just see the most perfect set of abs on a man just now
"What are you doing here?"
"What?" I asked confused
"I just wanted to take a bath, I didn't know anyone was inside I-"
"I've told Ethan so many times not to bring home these random girls, and you're staying the night?"
"Wait-" I began
"Just pack it up and leave" He said sternly walking past me, he turned to look me in the eye with his piercing blue eyes "Oh and this is not a good look for any highschool girl"
My mouth fell open from shock, I couldn't even speak
I watched him leave down the hallway before getting into the bathroom and shutting the door behind me.
"What the hell" I muttered running the tub "Who does he think he is"
Once I got into the tub I couldn't escape the smell of that boys deodorant that lingered in the bathroom, this cool musk was surprisingly calming
I figured he was maybe a family friend or something and decided to move past it.
Some time went by as I unwinded in the warm water
Suddenly the lights went out and the bathroom was pitch black.
"Hello?" I called out in the dark
No response.
"Ugh seriously?" I groaned getting out of the water reaching out in the dark for a towel.
As I wrapped the towel around myself I heard the door open slowly
"Hey I'm in here!" It didn't stop them
"Get out!" I said sternly
I was clutching onto my towel for dear life
"You are so done for!" I said as I rummaged across the counter for my phone.
Once I felt it I immediately turned my flash on and pointed it at the door
The door was in fact opened but there was no one there...
"What the hell..." I mumbled walking out into the hallway which was also dark and empty, looks like the lights went out in the whole penthouse
I rushed to put my pj's on and made my way to the living room where I found Carter already hard at work by the fuses
"What happened?" I asked
"Oh Yara! You scared me" he said
"Here would you hold this for me?" He handed me a torch
"Hey umm...is anyone else home?"
"What do you mean?" He asked, still focused
"Well- uh were you in my hallway earlier?"
"No, I was in the kitchen, it's just the boys at home and I'm pretty sure they've all gone to bed already, why?"
"No reason..." I had just moved here and I didn't want to make it so awkward on my second day by bringing up the bathroom situation so I decided it was best I keep it to myself.
The lights came on and Carter and I said goodnight
As I made my way back to the room I found myself looking at both ends of the hallway
Surely the door couldn't have opened on its own...
I decided that was a problem for another day and got into bed.
Juli jumped up onto the bed, scaring me again
"Damnit Juli...was it you?" I asked petting her and drifting off
