The following morning, Megan looked around her childhood room, she couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness. She was leaving behind her family and friends, the familiar streets of her hometown, and everything she had ever known.Megan said her final goodbyes to her parents. They were sad to see her go, but they were also proud of her for pursuing her dreams. They hugged her tightly and assured her that she would always have a home to come back to.
"Megan, we're so proud of you," her dad said, giving her a tight hug. "You're going to do great things at Columbia."
"I'm going to miss you guys so much," she said, her voice trembling. "We'll miss you too, sweetheart," her mom said, wiping away a tear. "But we're so proud of you for following your dreams."
Megan blinked back tears as she said goodbye, but she couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement for the new adventure that awaited her. She had dreamed of attending Columbia University for as long as she could remember, and now that dream was finally becoming a reality.
After saying their goodbyes, Megan loaded her belongings into the car and set off to her best friend Lisa's house to say her final goodbye. Lisa was shocked when Megan told her about the move to New York. She couldn't believe that her best friend of 18 years was leaving the small town they both grew up in. They spent the morning reminiscing about all their shared memories, and Lisa gave Megan a photo album filled with pictures of their adventures together. As they sat on the front porch, Megan shared her mixed emotions about leaving their hometown. Lisa listened intently, understanding exactly what Megan was going through. They had been best friends since they were little kids, and it was hard to imagine life without each other nearby.
"You're going to be all the way in New York City? That's so far away!" Lisa exclaimed, her eyes welling up with tears.
Megan hugged her friend tightly, trying to hold back her own tears. "I know, but it's a big opportunity for me. I'm going to miss you so much, Lisa."
As they hugged each other tightly, Megan tried to hold back her tears. "It's not goodbye, it's just see you later," Lisa reassured her.
Megan and Lisa vowed to stay connected through phone calls and video chats. They promised to share their new experiences and support each other through the challenges of being apart. And whenever they had the chance, they would plan visits to see each other, cherishing the time they spent together.
After a tearful farewell, Megan got into her car and began the long drive to New York. As she navigated through the familiar streets of her hometown, she couldn't help but reminisce about all the memories she had shared with Lisa. They had been inseparable since they were kids, and the thought of being so far away from her was daunting.
As she arrived in New York, the energy and life of the city enveloped her, and she felt a sense of renewal. She looked up at the towering buildings and bustling streets of New York, she couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement. The thought of embarking on a new adventure, meeting new people, and exploring all that the city had to offer filled her with a sense of anticipation. She knew that this move was a big step towards her future, and she couldn't wait to immerse herself in the vibrant culture of the city and start her studies at Columbia University. The prospect of meeting new people, exploring new places, and pursuing her dreams filled her with a sense of determination and hope.
Megan's parents had bought a place in New York a while back in hopes that she would get accepted into columbia university. She didn't know what the place looked like or anything. Her parents wanted it to be a surprise. Megan had always envisioned herself living in a small, cozy apartment, but her parents had a surprise in store for her.
As Megan made her way to her new apartment, she couldn't contain her excitement. She had been picturing what her life in the city would be like for so long, and now it was finally becoming a reality. But little did she know, her parents had an even bigger surprise waiting for her.

The bellman met Megan at her car and retrieved her bags and informed her to meet her back at the front desk after she parked her car. Megan parked her car in the parking garage and made her way back to the front desk. Walking to the elevator and seeing that she was on the 15th floor, when the doors to the elevator opened there were only 2 doors. She followed behind the bell man going to the right to her new home.
