Ashley couldn't believe what was happening. Her heart was racing and her cheeks were still flushed as she turned to face Megan. There was an undeniable chemistry that neither of them could deny. Ashley couldn't resist leaning in and kissing her softly. Megan's lips were warm and soft against hers, sending shivers down Ashley's spine.
Megan's only response was a soft smile and a gentle hand on her cheek. 'You don't have to leave,' Megan said, her voice filled with warmth and understanding. 'Stay with me, and we can go get breakfast or brunch or whatever you want. Just don't go.' Ashley's heart melted at Megan's words.
With a shy smile, she nodded. Ashley got in the tub while Megan went and found them both something to wear. After picking out their clothes Megan took a quick shower. Once they were dressed they headed out the door.
They decided on a little cafe known for their delicious pancakes and bottomless mimosas. As they walked to the nearest cafe, Ashley couldn't help but feel nervous. She had never been in a situation like this before, and she wasn't sure how to act. But Megan seemed to sense her apprehension and reached for her hand, giving it a gentle squeeze.
They arrived at the cafe and took a seat at a quiet table in the corner. As they waited for their food, they talked a little. Megan couldn't help but notice the wistful look on Ashley's face as she gazed at a painting on the wall. 'Do you like art?' Megan asked, curious.
Ashley nodded, 'I've always loved it. I used to take art classes in high school, but I never pursued it further.'
'I've always wanted to be a painter,' Ashley said wistfully, taking a sip of her coffee. 'But my parents never saw it as a practical career. So, I ended up studying art history instead.'
Megan could relate all too well. Her parents had also discouraged her from pursuing art, instead urging her to study something more 'stable'. But she couldn't deny her passion for it, which is why she was pursuing it in secret.
'I totally get that,' Megan replied sympathetically. 'But hey, who says we can't pursue our dreams while still having a stable job, right?'
Ashley's eyes lit up and she nodded in agreement. They continued to talk, losing themselves in deep conversations about art and the beauty of self-expression.
Megan smiled, 'Well, I have a confession to make. I paint as a hobby.'
Ashley's eyes widened in surprise, 'Really? I had no idea. Can I see some of your work?'
Megan nodded and pulled out her phone, scrolling through photos of her paintings. As she showed Ashley her pieces, Ashley was in awe. The vibrant colors and intricate details were captivating. She couldn't believe that Megan had such a talent for painting.
'I want to try painting,' Ashley declared.
Megan's face lit up, 'I would love that! We can go to an art supply store after brunch and pick out supplies. I'll teach you a few things.'
finishing their meals, they decided to take a walk around the city, before heading to the art store.Ashley showed Megan her favorite spots, and they talked about their favorite movies, music, and food. Megan couldn't believe how easy it was to talk to Ashley, as if they had known each other for years instead of just one night.
Strolling through the park, Megan couldn't resist the feeling of holding Ashley's hand. To her surprise, Ashley didn't pull away but instead laced her fingers with Megan's. They continued their walk, stopping to admire the beautiful view of the city skyline.
After realizing the time they made their way to the art supply store and Megan helped Ashley pick out canvas, paints, and brushes. They then headed back to Megan's apartment where they set up a small painting studio in her living room.
