Day 1

Observation Journal Entry #1

Hello Travelers,

I'm finally off to see the world!! I'd say that one of my mothers were crying when I boarded the Zephyr, but then I couldn't see them clearly through my own tears. THIS IS SCARY! And, like, really, really exciting!!!!! ((o(^∇^)o))

I remember when I was little, my mother took me to the Grand Market in the Orchid City. I thought, "There's no way anything is bigger than this!" Rows and rows of polished wooden stands, with bright colorful canopies, and patrons buzzing like bees; it was like an economic garden blooming with fruitful hopes for their carefully grown labors. Music wafted through the air with lyrical merchants singing out their wares. I told my mother it was the most wondrous place in the whole world! And she smiled that knowing smile, gentle and encouraging, before she told me to wait to make that claim. That one day, I would be on my Star Follow, and "the most wondrous place in the whole world" would be subject to change.

I guess we're about to see.

I'm traveling aboard the Rough Delight, captained by the rather infamous, Enryko Stormblade. Not my first choice for a Zephyr, but my mother has, let's call them, eclectic friends. She trusts Captain Stormblade to get me to the Kingdom of Illuminarre safely; which is where I will begin my journey officially.

Why Illuminarre? The cheese! Naturally! And we are going to try them all, my friends! Does the Maelauce Marphin really tickle your tongue? Or the Old Road Roses smell like springtime and dragon's feet? I've never had anything but Tamana's delights, and I'm positively buzzing from all the stories I've heard.

Captain Stormblade is saying we need to make a quick stop for royalty. Boo. :( So, I'd best go make sure my room is squared away before I find myself sleeping on deck to make room for "my betters". Ick. :P So, bye for now, my friends.
