Autumn Berrybottles is a side character from our Saccharine in Nightmares world. We had no plans for them at the time, other than some occasional side help, but somehow they evolved and ended up needing their own series.
So, here it is!
Coming from a long line of Watchers (Terra's version of Librarians), Autumn is finally old enough to go off on their Star Follow (an event to explore and learn about the world). Watchers always complete the Star Follow in order to gain an understanding and appreciation for the world they're protecting beyond the text and page. Otherwise, they tend to become stuffy and jaded, which is quite dangerous considering the powers and magic they weild.
Autumn, however, has never much cared for being cooped up indoors. And has decided to create a travel blog of all the wonderful sights, foods, cultures, and adventures Star Follow will bring. Perhaps, if the travel blog is in-depth enough, the Berrybottles family will see the wisdom in allowing Autumn to forego with family tradition, and not become a Watcher. At least, that's what Autumn hopes.
And before you think, "Oh, well, you're the writers, of course Autumn will get their wish", that's not actually how we write. We let our work take shape as it goes, and don't have any long-term plans for anyone. We literally have no thoughts for the future, so Autumn might actually fail. Who knows?
Feel like finding out? :)
As our world of Terra is so rich and full, there really isn't any way we can explore all of it in the books we write. Autumn gives us another outlet of sharing the Terra we've built in our heads. Autumn weaves in and out of other Saccharine in Nightmares storylines, has alternative perspectives, and gives a bit of "deleted scene extras".
This is part of a series. Please read Nocturne of Flowers, or a lot of this won't make any sense! There is a very long list of things people may find disturbing; sex, horror, gore, violence, guns, and monsters to name a few.
Disclaimer: This is a work of fiction. Names, characters, businesses, events, incidents and whatnot are the products of the authors' [gamerkats] imaginations. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental, and would be super freaky, possibly resulting in the authors giving up writing and becoming soothsayers.
This is also original writing. It is not Public Domain. Don't make shit from our shit and try to sell it!
