Chapter 2 - The magic school

When Amy turned 10, her parents died in a tragic accident. That was very sad for her. They took her to an adoption center, and the exact same day, her cousin, Kevin, who already turned 19 that year decided to adopt her, and that made her very happy.

Few years later, when Amy turned fifteen, she got a letter. She was scared that it might be a scammer, or a stalker, or that it might even be a threat. So, she asked Kevin to read it first, and he agreed.

The letter was:

                     "Dear Amy Kenshi
Few years ago our detectors detected that you have magic. That's why we would like to inform you that you've been officialy accepted to our magic school that you will go to as our student after you will turn 16 years old.

We hope that our letter will reach you, and that in our school you will feel like at home.

The principal of Heart Academy".

That letter really suprised Kevin. He already had five friends that went to that school, but he wasn't expecting that his own cousin will go there. She was the first person in their family that got this letter. Then he read that letter to her, and it was already visible how excited she was because of the news.

- I will be a student at a magic school! - Amy jumped with joy like a kid. - When I will return home on weekend I will tell you everything that happened.

- There's only 1 problem - Kevin said.

- What problem? - Amy got confused.

- That's a boarding school - Kevin began to explain. - My friends that got to that school told me that you can return home whenever you will want to for as long as you will only ask to return home on summer, Christmas, or the winter break. You won't have to study on weekends, but you will still have to stay there.

- Really? - Amy got a bit sad hearing this. - What a pity. Can I know where that school is?

- From what I know, it's in a different dimension, but I don't know what dimension exactly - Kevin answered.

Bow they only had to wait until Amy turns 16.

The next year, at the beggining of the school year (because Amy has birthday in July) 2 weird creatures showed up at their house. They looked like a mix of a hippo, a lion, and a bat, and they told Amy:

- We are mr. Miles Crowserious's emissaries. He asked us to bring you to our school. If you have any important things that you would like to take with you them pack them into a suitcase or a backpack and return to us.

Amy quickly ran to her room, and packed: clothes, her phone, her headphones, her phone charger, some books to read, some food, her the picture of her and Kevin that they took the day he adopted her.

When she packed all of that she hugged her cousin goodbye, returned to the 2 creatures, and they took her to a weird purple portal.

- One more thing! - One of these weird, fat, small creatures said. - Before you'll enter to the portal I would like to inform you that you will be welcomed in our school by our prince, Kuendy Gsompte, and he will also show you around and will introduce you to the rules.

Amy nodded and then she jumped into the portal closing her eyes.

When she opened her eyes she was in a totaly different world, on a meadow with a huge building few meters away.

Then a boy aproached her.

He had: short, straight, black hair, blue eyes, pale skin, a scar on his right cheek, and a purple tail. He was wearing: a white t-shirt with a black heart, red and yellow coat, orange and yellow belt, dark gray sweatpants, black shoes, black and yellow cape, a maroon wrap around his neck, and a golden crown on his head.

- Good morning - the boy said. - Are you Amy Kenshi that got choosen to be a student at our school?

- Yes, it's me - Amy answered.

- Great - the boy smiled and bowed down. - I Am Kuendy Gsompte. I'm the prince of this kingdom, a student at this school, and the one who has to show you around the school. It's really nice to meet you.

- It's nice to meet you too, your majesty - Amy bowed down. - However, can I know why you welcomed me here and not, for example the principal?

- He has a lot of things to do today and I'm also one of the people that makes some of the decisions about this school, so he decided to choose me to do it. Is there anything else you need to know?

- No. Maybe later I will ask you something, but not yet.

- Alright. Now, follow me. I will show you around our school.

Then they went to the school that was few meters away.
