One dark night

Am I dead ?

She was expecting to return back to reality but to her shock , she saw a guy in a really dark room . He had woren black robes , had a long wooden stick in his hand , and was murmuring something. Mary stood at her place feeling short of words . She thought she finally found her way back home but luck wasn't with her . Mary tried calling the man in the robes but was interrupted by a hand on her shoulder. She flinched and screamed . The man in the robes noticed her . Lucas told her ,"U shouldn't have opened the door....." . Mary asked him ,"why?" . Lucas said ,"I heard of a fairytale where a boy finds a man in robes behind an unknown door but eventually gets killed in a worst way possible". Mary now was done with this all shit . She wanted to go home but some shitty things kept on coming in her way . Now her tears started to fall . She said ," Lucas , I wanna go home anyhow . Please take me there " . Lucas didn't have any answer to what she said . Suddenly, out of blue , a strong wind came and the door closed with a loud thud sound . They both didn't know what to say . They were full of questions . Are we saved ? Will he try to kill us in future? . Mary was tired and just wanted to sleep . Lucas took her inside the castle. Mary laid down on the couch . Suddenly she called Lucas ,"We are in the parallel world right ?"Lucas replied ,"Yes, but why ? " . Mary stayed silent for a minute and said ,"Does that mean that we are dead ?" Lucas got a little confused.  He said ,"I don't think so . We are alive". Mary said , " this world is parallel. Now , we alive in the realm so are we dead here or is it that we are alive here so we are dead there ?" Lucas didn't know any answer. They both were at a so worse point that they didn't even know if they are alive or not . They thought of sleeping for some time because at that moment, they thought they are losing their mind .
