A warm summer evening of 1890. The golden hues of dusk settled over the Godric's Hollow. A faint sound of hoofbeats accompanied a wooden carriage, weary from travel, as it ambled through the village pulled by a tired horse. Inside, Kendra Dumbledore, along with her two sons and daughter, felt the absence of one dearly missed. After leaving everything they knew behind..Kendra had to face the journey without her husband by her side. The sudden need of escaping their hometown was heartbreaking..but this wasn't the worst of consequences of what happened. Neither the woman or her children had no idea that this journey would be the very beggining of a really difficult way full of different obstacles.
Kendra was a non-magical human being - known in 'magical world' as a muggle. As much as she was 'normal' her children and her missing husband certainly weren't. They were magical. Percival loved his wife and his three children..especially his youngest one - Ariana. Since the very beginning the little girl was silent and often seemed to be elsewhere with her thoughts. Everyone knew that something was wrong with her but Percival was way too protective over his daughter. Seeking medical attention could end up with her being taken as insane and then locked away in the st. Mungo's hospital - a special hospital for wizards and witches. Percival couldn't stand the thought of such scenario. Ariana was not insane. Sure...she was easily distracted however she was not dangerous, she would never harm anybody or even herself. She was just a little different. That's why both parents agreed that they wouldn't ask for help from the outside...however they still hoped that Ariana was just an introvert who prefered to spend her time daydreaming. She would certainly open up more once she'd be exposed to children her age...right?

Things got a bit more difficult when Ariana, just as her older brothers before, started showing signs of possesing a magical power. Percival was a wizard and apparently all his children inherited the magical power from him. The loving father couldn't be more proud even when Ariana began to show small signs of her abilities when she turned three years old. It wasn't anything special.

Just like in case of most of children with blooming magical abilities Ariana showed small and innocent signs of the power that she inherited from her ancestors. One time she made a spoon levitate out of her bowl while again getting lost in her own world that played just in her mind, or once she accidentally blew out the candle just by staring at the small flame. Kendra and her husband were truly happy about it but at the same time of course shared some worries. They weren't wealthy but they indeed wanted to send their children to the magical school that Percival used to study at. When the time comes of course. The children needed to turn eleven for their letters to arrive.

Hogwarts - The school of witchcraft and wizardry. Kendra believed that this is the place that could get the best out of her children and teach them how to control their powers, but at the same time she was really worried about little Ariana. If her behaviour wouldn't change it could be noticed by the teachers..moreover it could make her struggle with focusing during classes or maybe even make other students bully her. The only thought that cheered Kendra and Percival, who shared these worries, up in this case was that Albus and Aberforth would accompany their younger sister at school and certainly would help her out if needed.

Unfortunately Percival didn't get to see his children go to Hogwarts or even receive their letters. A few months ago true tragedy happened to the Dumbledore family. Back in                                Mould-on-the-World the five of them used to live among people like Kendra. Probably all the neighbours were muggles so Percival was making sure that his children wouldn't brag about their 'abnormal abilities' - this is how most muggles viewed magic. Some were scared of it because they didn't understand it. Some were jealous. It was safer for wizards and witches to stay hidden. That's why Percival couldn't have his children talk about their abilities to other kids, show it anyhow. The town was small and typically for a small town most of people knew each other. The gossip would spread like wildfire and the family would have no peace in here.
Thankfully all children remained obedient and tried their best not to get carried away and cause any magical accidents...until Ariana unintentionally did it. She was outside enjoying herself while slowly weaving wreaths of wild flowers on a meadow nearby. She liked going there because out there she could be on her own, surrounded by silence  she could drift off with her thoughts and stay there as long as she pleased without anybody disturbing her. Her, long, blonde hair was gently swayed by the wind while the little girl hummed a soft tune under her breath. She didn't even notice that a group of older boys started approaching her from behind. Ariana reached her hand down to grab another flower which slowly raised from the ground and flew right into her hand.
