(Sorry? Maybe? The story is progressingggg)
————————————————————————
I'm thrown back, the wind knocked out of me, I blink blurry eyes seeing the bright light and frantic figures. My ears ring for a bit but it goes down and I start to stand up. I hear yelling, Althea. She yelling for the cat and she looks so small and terrified near all the flames. The snake like woman... where- I immediately see her trapped nearby under some wood that's singed and burning just a bit. I don't know what comes over me but I run over and help her lift it, off hissing as I feel my hands burn a bit. She looks shocked as well, stopping a few sparks on her hair and flipping her hood up. She nods at me and runs to the spot where the ceiling was blasted in. I see two larger heroes jump down and about three more sidekicks. One looks familiar so I throw a blanket that doesn't seem to burn over me and tie it on. I stand and watch but I also keep an eye out for Mold. Althea stoped crying and she's trying to look stern as she faces the heroes, the snake woman, I'll call her snake, stares ominously. One of the bigger heroes has gusts of wind surrounding them and the other has embers flaking off. I vaguely know them from the news. Simple names really, Gust and Torch. I crouch low and stick to the shadows where I avoid the spreading fire. It feel like all my emotions have been pushed down, who knew I would stand in a burning building one day, especially anywhere other then the heroes side. After a stare down Gust speaks in a booming voice, "Are you the only two here right now? Then I suggest you surrender." He sounded like he thought he was superior. Snake responded in a sarcastic way, "Yeah, ssorry you just missed the others? Want me to call them sso they can re-sschedule?" Torch yelled, "Shut it you dumb reptile! We aren't here for your games!" I see a ball of fire thrown their direction and two sidekicks jump towards Snake and Althea, the third looking shocked. I go to run their way but I hear a raspy meow. I run to the cat instead. Why do I feel the need to help them... I don't linger on the thought as I snatch Mold up and dust some embers off him. I open the window and let him hop out. My fingers burnt from the hot metal of it. Luckily we are on the bottom floor of whatever building this is. I run back to the fight and see Althea dodging and kicking at their opposing sidekick all while gusts of wind and fire are rapidly thrown. She seems quick and rather light on her feet, while Snake is apparently really good with a knife slashing at their opponent but never going for the kill. Their opponent blocks with a metal staff. The building starts to cave and I see fiery wood falling down in a terrifyingly mesmerizing way. The heroes call out to leave the building, and quickly jump out the hole they made while Snake and Althea struggle out one of the few unblocked exits. I run to follow but a burning plank blocks me burning through my pants and getting my leg. I fall with a cry of pain and then I hear screaming and snap out of it... That last sidekick... the person with the bat wings from the interview. I run over despite the pain that makes me feel almost sick. They are stuck by debris on their chest. It's hot and I feel the skin on my hand burns as I touch it but I do it anyways, shoving it off. The adrenaline giving me strength somehow. I see bad burns on their chest but they seem okay otherwise. I pick them up with my now bloody hand and try to not shift them to much. I remember the window. I run to it and drop them out as carefully as I can, I hear a cry of pain but at least they're alive. I hop out myself, wincing from all the pain. I want to throw up or pass out but I force myself to stay up. I pick them back up and see the heroes all seemingly clueless to where the bat sidekick was... they didn't even go back in. I feel so angry and hurt emotionally at this. I almost run out to them but I realize I'll be seen as a villain right now... I look down at them and ask in a raspy voice, "Can you yell?" They nod so I set them down gently and nod before limping off. I hear their yelling but it's getting quieter. My lungs burn, and everything hurts so much I almost wish I was dead. Yet I know if it still hurts that means it's not to bad though. I see Althea and snake deep into the alleyway. Althea is frantically checking Mold and basically smothering him with love, she herself looks a little cut up but nothing deep. Why do I care?... and Snake seems fine to. They are talking to two figures I can't quite make out. I almost grin at Althea and the cat. Why do I care?... I see her look up with me and I see horror on her face, she yells but I can't make it out. Snake looks disturbed. Not again... I feel a falling sensation before everything goes dark.
