You know, I thought cruise ships were supposed to be relaxing experiences. The first thing I see when step on the ship is a girl crying. The captain goes to comfort her, and they walk away. That was weird. Minus that odd occurrence, I love this ship. Being out on the water again, a week of relaxation, and perfectly good chance to do nothing. What could be better than that? I just spend most of my time either in the pool, the gym, or my room. I have been rewatching every sea themed movie I could find, and "Under the Sea" has been added to my workout playlist. I am trying to stay in shape for my dive with my father, since the underwater currents at the island we are headed to, Lotus Island, are very strong. Apparently the island is mostly full of retirees who feel stuck there, and they are apparently perfectly content with dropping their garbage into the ocean. That's the main reason me and my dad are going there.
I must admit, I was a little bummed when we left. When I got to Frisco, I was hoping to check out the sites, maybe visit Alcatraz or something cool like that. Unfortunately my flight, got delayed, then I got stuck at my lay over airport, and on and on. Flights have never really seemed to go well for me. In fact, I've never really been a fan of heights, which is why I've been avoiding the rock climbing wall on the cruise. Something about not touching the ground or the water makes my hair stand up on end, like something bad is about to happen. The pool is enough to keep me satisfied though, so I'm still pretty happy. This first day is shaping up to be pretty good. I ended my day by watching the fireworks go off and I went to bed excited for our stop tomorrow at some small island near Hawaii.
Or at least, that's where my day should have ended. Some dick in the room connected to mine just would not turn off their TV, and under that I heard noises that sounded like a person ... gross. I knock on my wall and yelled at them to knock it off, but a hoarse female told me to "Shut the fuck up!", and I am nothing if not fantastic at following orders. Three hours later, I finally drifted off to sleep.
