The Sergeant: Young Nina

Nina, nana, banana. Your face looks like a banana!, one of the girl at about seven was calling her names. Nina endured this bullying for years and now it's getting too far, Nina thought. When the bully was about to step on her fingers, she flipped her hand out and caught his feet. Thus, pulled it in front so he slid off the ground and lost his balance and fell. Everybody laughed. Nina also giggled and when the bully is down, she threw mud on his face and his buddies ran since the girl pulled her Swiss knife she stole from her military dad. I grew up alone. Dad would be posted around the world and mom would go out with different guys just to make sure she spends dad's money. I told dad about mom's spending frenzy but he didn't care. He has his own matters to solve like the girl he impregnated just a couple of months ago. I wanted to run away from home. I had the luxury and money but I have no family to share them with. Carmi is one of my classmates in school. She has been so kind to let me crash for a couple of days in their garage since I left home and wanted to think about my future for a bit. I decided to join the U.S. Army. How are you feeling?, me while holding Vanes' hand at the hospital room. I'm okay but I feel weird, Vanes said while gripping Brooke's hand. I'll stay here for a while, the heroine stuff can wait! No, you need to go and do what you have promised to do! I'll be okay. I'll just rest and sleep. It's been a while since I had a long and peaceful rest. 

Avery will be here in a minute. Okay, let's me just take care of you! It's been years since I wasn't able to do it. Please! Okay..., Vanes said a wallowed away somewhere. What are you doing?, a girl appeared talking with Nina who is sitting on the school bench outside the playground. Ah, military school. My dad had these magazines kept in his room for a while. I just stole them while he was sleeping, hehehe!, Nina added. Carmi, it's been a while! Oh, wow! That's nice! Would you like to come with me now? I want you to see something!, Carmi said happily, pulling Nina's arms to her direction. Where? You'll see! We walked inside the playground and ended up in a some kind of water way. Then when we reached the place. OMG! When did you find this out? Wow... I found this out when I was about to make out with Johnston, haha. But I changed my mind so, I brought you here!, Carmi said while moving closer to me and begin to touch my face and hair. I didn't care what Carmi was doing to me but what I love about her is she knows when to have fun and how to have it! The place she brought me to is a secret beautiful hide away. Our secret place where we began exploring ourselves. I learned to kiss, touch and make out with Carmi. She taught me everything to know about sex and type of kisses. I was happy. With Carmi I felt safe and loved. So, I bought her all the stuff a girl loves and more. 

But as time passed by, she became distant and wouldn't answer my calls. I learned that she's been hooking up with Johnston again. I was sad but I would still go to our secret place and lie on the grassy area away from the river. Then, one day, I heard her and Johnston have been fighting in the school benches we supposed to sit at. I was just looking at them and pretended not to care. Johnston came up to me and flipped the magazine I was reading. You love this girl! This dyke?, Johnston fuming with anger. Then, he took my arm and placed me in the middle of school crowd. Johnston's group are laughing and bullying me. 

Run, Nina, please! Run!, Carmi added now crying. You love me? I love you too!, the only words I said to calm Carmi down. I didn't speak with all the bullying ad cursing I received from Johnston and his guys. Johnston made the first move and punched me which I was able to avoid. One...two...three...four....and the four guys including Johnston are all lying down on the ground, hugging themselves and their bodies from the punches and kicks I gave them. I was able to do it in less than 30 seconds. Nice work Nina!, I told myself. My nursing aid and butler Mariano have taught me well. He was a black belt in Kung-Fu and I just had my brown belt in Karate just this summer. The hard work has paid off, indeed. The school crowd, classmates, school mates were shocked. Carmi and I just went walked out of the scene without Johnston and his guys standing. Johnston, the bullies and most of the guys had stopped pestering me and Carmi. But I know Johnston had that look of revenge. I know he won't stop since Carmi loves me and he was left out and been a laughing stock in our school. 

Carmi and I joined the U.S. Navy and became soldiers vowed to protect the innocents and the world. I didn't know Johnston also applied and was able to make the last cut of soldiers to be deployed to Ukraine. Ouch!!!, ahhhh!!!, I am feeling the pain in my face and my body. The medications are so strong that I feel the prick and thud of something inside. Fuck!! ahhh, in my thoughts. I woke up and saw Brooke sleeping in the couch. She looks so peaceful and beautiful. Ahh, those dreams again about Nina. Why do I keep dreaming about the ass hole? Johnston would always try to sabotage me. Carmi would advise me to stop minding him and focus on our mission. In Syria, Carmi, me and our team head to our camp. I made a friend named Se-la, a 12 year old boy who had been left by his parents since a lot of families fled to the border, the U.S., European countries, etc. We have done our rounds and was about to leave Ukraine since it's the President's orders. Johnston didn't stop from there.
