What We Could Have Had

After school I drove myself home.  On my way home I saw that same guy again walking, I kept driving past him until I got to my house. I pulled in the garage and went into the kitchen. My nana was there making me some kind of food, it looked like a kind of salad. I sat at the island and pulled out my phone, Tommy texted me. 

*Hey Tal, Im just getting home from school right now, If you want I can stop by your house tonight to hang out with you, I miss you. I want to know what is happening in your book. I am just going to have to shower then go over some stuff with my father about my work, I am getting some time off for halloween.*

"Is that Tommy?" My nana says looking back at me, I nod. 

*Sure, you can come over, I miss you too, I haven't seen you in a week! I got very far in my book.*

My nana placed a caprisi salad down infrount of me with some cashews and pita bread slices with hummus. She had blended up a nice strawberry, bananna smoothie for me aswell. She patted my shoulder and walked to the couch to watch the news. 

*Okay, comming soon! 5 minutes.* I ran to my room and cleaned up my bed, I smiled in my mirror and then heard my room door open. 

"Tommy!" I ran up to him and hugged him, He was so clean, His body smelt like fresh laundry, his hands wrapped around my waist and kissed me on the forehead. "Talia!" He said. "So, what did you do today at school?"  He asked, He wandered around my room looking at my bookshelf. 

"Well, I had that chemistry test and then really nothing after that, I went to Connies with Alyssa. Really that's all." I said sitting down on my bed. "Hm." He said, he just looked around my room and at my makeup on my desk. 

"So I heard Janets throwing a halloween party on halloween night, now I know I don't really do tis but now since i'm getting more days off work I was wondering If you'd want to go for the night?" He asked looking at me, I felt happy that he wanted to go, he never really done things like this, He brought me out for dinner, He went on nice walks with me but he never wanted to go to parties. Janet goes to my school, Tommy goes to a different school but he's on the internet so he hears things fast. I find he works too much for just a 19 year old guy, it's his teen years, he needs to have fun, like going to halloween parties. 

"Oh my gosh, yes! I want to! You never go to parties, This will be so much fun we can wear matching costumes!" I get up off my bed and hug him, he laughs and pulls out his phone. "Well it's only 3:40, want to get some costumes for this week?" he asks. My heart is so happy, I thought we were just gonna watch scary movies in my room for halloweem but I really, really wanted to go to this party, My first party of senior year! well, actually no, but with him it is!

I go downstairs to see my nana and tell her were going out, she smirks funny at me and runs up to Tommy to kiss him goodbye, as I put on ym boots she kisses me bye aswell and we walk to the driveway to get in Tommy's car. 

"Do you have any ideas on what you want to be?" He asks. I think for a second, I go on my phone and click on pinterest, We both decide on Lola bunny and Bugs Bunny from space jam, when we got to spirit halloween we got our sizes in the costumes and bought them. "Is there anywhere else you want to go? Maybe like sephora? Starbucks?" he asks. "Well I do need a new concelar, mines out and I could get a cute blush and lip balm as well..." We walk over to sephora and I pick out my favourite Nars concelar and a rosy pink dior blush. My top lip gloss is the glossier balm dotcom in the sent birthday cake so I pick it up aswell. Josh checks out with his card and we head on home. 

Halloween was just in four days and I was so exited, I liked this new attitude in Tommy, It was cute. 

I took a cute picture of him buying me stuff at sephora and posted it with a caption of, #Ilovemyboyfriend

Tommy had an instagram account but he had no pictures posted, I had alot, all my food was posted, almost everything I did was on there, There was alot of pictures with Tommy but he doesn't like it, he doesn't like being on social media. I was just scrolling through my friends posts in class when I came across a picture of me, But I didn't post it. It was just me in the back of some persons picture of their shoes in school. weird. Xavier didn't post anything exept, he didn't mind being posted to. As my class ended I was walking back to my locker when I saw that guy from the library who gave me  a dirty look. This time he said something...

"You must feel very lucky being so rich, having a boyfriend who can pay $114 dollars for you easily everyday." I turned around in shock and looked at him, he was so tall I had to look up this time, I was so confused why he was so up in my buisness, I wanted to keep things all happy but I had to say something. 

"You know, Im not just dating him because he's rich, Plus why does that even bother you, it isn't like it's effecting you in any way, is it?" I ask. His eyes are narrow and he has thick brown eyebrows looking at me, He doesn't say anything for a few seconds then says. "It bothers me because you think just because you so rich that you can get to do anything you want. I bet your daddy already has a collage payment down for you huh?" 

His attitude shocked you, He was so quiet you never noticed him before. "Just, Leave me alone okay? Nothing is ever as it seems, you don't know anything about me." You turn away from him and go out back to Connies for lunch. When you take a seat down he is there, Just two tables away, god.
