Jo Tu Mera Humdard Hai,
Suhana Har Dard Hai..

As Dev drove back home, his mind was filled with excitement and anticipation for the future. However, fate had other plans. Suddenly, a speeding car ran a red light and crashed into the side of Dev's car, causing it to spin out of control. The impact was brutal, leaving Dev unconscious and his car badly mangled.

Hours later, Dev slowly regained consciousness in a hospital bed. His head throbbed with pain, and his body ached all over. As he opened his eyes, he saw Ruchika sitting beside him, her face pale with worry.

"Oh, thank goodness you're awake, Dev!" Ruchika exclaimed, her voice trembling. "You scared me to death. How are you feeling?".

Dev winced in pain and managed a weak smile. "I've had better days, but I'm glad to see you here, Ruchika. What happened?".

Ruchika's voice quivered as she explained, "After you proposed to me, you were on your way home when you were hit by another car. It was a terrible accident, but the doctors say you'll recover with time."

Dev's heart sank at the news. "But what about the ring, Ruchika? Did you-".

Just as Dev mentioned the ring, Pia, Dev's younger sister, burst into the hospital room. Her eyes were filled with tears, and she rushed to embrace Dev tightly.

"Oh,Bhai! I can't believe this happened to you. I was so worried," Pia cried, her voice choked with every emotion.

Dev managed to smile weakly, grateful for his sister's presence. "It's okay, Pia. I'll be fine. But what about the ring? Did you find it?"

Pia's expression turned somber as she shook her head. "I'm so sorry, Bhai. We couldn't find it at the accident scene. It must have gotten lost in the wreckage."

Dev's heart sank even further. The ring held so much sentimental value to him. But as he looked at Ruchika's concerned face, he realized that the ring was just a symbol, and their love was much deeper than any material possession.

"It's alright, Pia. The ring is replaceable, but our love isn't. Ruchika and I will build a beautiful future together, with or without it," Dev said, his voice filled with determination.

Ruchika squeezed Dev's hand, her eyes filled with gratitude but soon Dev's head had a throbbing pain. He was having seizures and passed out. Ruchika rushed to doctor leaving Pia.

Both Ruchika and Vidya screamed in unison "DEV!!".

Dev looked confuse as he tried to make sense of his surroundings. His gaze landed on Ruchika, who was sitting by his side with tears streaming down her face. "Ruchika," he whispered weakly, his voice barely audible. "What happened?"

Ruchika took a deep breath, trying to steady her voice. "Dev, you were in a car accident. It was a terrible crash, and you've been in a coma for weeks. I've been here, praying for your recovery every single day."

Dev's eyes widened in disbelief as he tried to process the information. "But... how bad is it? Will I be okay?".

Ruchika hesitated for a moment, struggling to find the right words. "Dev, the accident caused some severe injuries. The doctors did everything they could, but... you've lost your ability to walk."

Dev's heart sank, a wave of despair washing over him. He was devastated by the news, the realization that his life would never be the same again. But as he looked into Ruchika's eyes, he saw a glimmer of hope amidst the sadness.

"I may have lost my ability to walk, Ruchika, but I haven't lost my spirit. With you,by my side, I know I can overcome any obstacle," Dev said, determination replacing the initial despair in his voice. "I may need help for now, but together we will find a way to adapt and make the most of what we have."

Ruchika's eyes filled with admiration and love for Dev. She knew he had always been a strong-willed and resilient person, and she had no doubt that he would face this new challenge with the same determination he had shown in every other aspect of his life.

"I believe in you, Dev," she whispered, gently squeezing his hand. "We'll take it one step at a time, quite literally. We'll explore all the options available for your rehabilitation, and we'll discover new ways for you to stay active and mobile."

With Ruchika's unwavering support, Dev began his journey towards recovery. He underwent rigorous physical therapy, pushing himself to the limits to regain strength in his upper body and adapt to using a wheelchair. Ruchika was there by his side every step of the way, offering encouragement, making him laugh, and reminding him that life was still full of possibilities.

As the days turned into weeks and then months, Dev's determination paid off. Through sheer willpower and the support of Ruchika, Dev made remarkable progress in his rehabilitation. He learned how to navigate the world in a wheelchair, maneuvering through everyday obstacles with ease. He even discovered new hobbies and activities that he could still enjoy, such as adaptive sports and painting.

Ruchika, being the resourceful and supportive partner she was, helped Dev explore various assistive technologies that could further enhance his independence. Together, they researched and invested in state-of-the-art devices like voice-controlled assistants, smart home automation systems, and even a customized wheelchair that allowed Dev to stand whenever he desired.

But it wasn't just physical adaptations that Dev and Ruchika focused on. They also prioritized his mental and emotional well-being. They sought counseling to address any feelings of frustration, grief, and loss he might experience. Through therapy, they learned coping mechanisms and strategies to navigate the emotional rollercoaster that often accompanies life-altering changes.

With time, Dev's perspective shifted from focusing on what he had lost to embracing all the opportunities that still lay ahead. He became an advocate for disability rights and accessibility, using his own experiences to raise awareness and promote inclusivity.

Dev's resilience and positive outlook inspired those around him. His story became inspirational for many as he authored books based on his medical experience and studies. He started walking with the help of stick for few months and now without any support,he can walk.
