This feeling was amazing, the cold brisk winter air flying all around me. The adrenaline pumping through my veins. This little rabbit was fast, but, I was faster. The rabbit was small, however it was still a meal. I had to eat something right?

Well actually lets start this story with you getting to know me! The amazing Thistle Frost! I don't remember much about where I was born or my siblings, we were all separated a long time ago by this big flood. It all happened so fast, one minute I was sleeping like any other good wolf pup would do (if there mother made them) when I suddenly found my lungs full of water. I remember my mother dragged me out first and told me to head towards the top of the hill, she went back in after another one of my siblings. I never saw her again. I waited as long as I could on that hill, it was two days before I left it. I would have starved if not for the flood drowning some random deer and washing it up to shore. It fed me for about a week, then I actually had to start to hunt for myself.

It was hard at first, I would catch more leaves and bushes than anything else. But I slowly got the hang of it and that was how I survived. I slept anywhere I could find shelter, and wandered around and hunted during the day. And that takes us back to where I had left off, where things get a little more interesting.

It was just like any other hunt, but like I said this rabbit was fast. I had run a lot farther than I usually did. The air around this area of the valley that I usually stayed away from smelled a little different, there were other wolves here. I remember my mother telling me about wolf packs and how wonderful they could be. But I also remember her tales of those few horrible wolf packs who would kill you without a second thought. The scent that was here was defiantly the scent of a wolf pack. The real question though what kind of wolf pack, it could be a nice wolf pack that would allow me to join it's ranks and live with them. On the other paw though, I could possibly be hunted down and ambushed for trespassing. Not too scary of a thought though, I was confident that I could take any other wolf with ease. I slowly crept forward until my paws were right up against the scent line. I've always wanted to explore the woods, and with winter coming to an end and spring going to begin soon, what better time then now to go and do that.

The woods were larger than I thought they would be. The trees gradually grow bigger and bigger the deeper I venture into them. The scent of the pack is getting a lot stronger now. The wolves should start to get a little whiff here and there of my scent now thanks to the slight breeze behind me. As I traveled a little farther though a certain scent began to stand out to me. It was a sweeter scent, I deeply inhaled, savoring the smell. I was a little to late to realize the the scent trail went around me and I could now smell that scent in the air. I snapped around, ready to run. Only to find myself face to face with another wolf.
