They were buying books. It had been so long since they had done that. Sloane was buying a book, which she had borrowed from Nats herself, like Nats had predicted she had adored the book and now was buying her own copy. Nats was searching for a book though.

Her phone chimed.

Josh

.

Nriti

.

"Tea I forgot I've to go to Josh's for lunch today? I have to also bring Hayes' book which I keep forgetting. Just wait here I'm coming. We'll go together. Come for lunch."

"I'll choose the book and keep till then. Don't have any lecs."

"Bye."

Nriti went back to choosing books.

"Here's coffee but only if you don't kill me."

"Josh, what?"

"Sloane told me to meet you'll here, so I got coffee. Anyway, I should be introduced to your book boyfriends."

"I don't see why?"

"Well I'm curious to see who I must defeat to become your boyfriend."

"They have set my standards high and you have only one date on you. Which wasn't a date to begin with."

"I don't mind high expectations babe, I'll learn and then raise them higher. As for the date not date, it could have been a date is my point, cause it was the best ones i've been on."

"We could have been a lot of things but you are my best friend's brother."

"What she doesn't know won't hurt her. Besides, she's dating Troy Botlon."

"He treats her well, you know." He ignored her. "The book boyfriends you had to make me meet?"

"Now let me see which all of my boyfriends are here."

"Book boyfriends." Josh corrected. She ignored him.

Every book she showed him, he slipped into his hand. If he ended up buying all of them for her it wasn't anyone's business but theirs. On the bag he wrote, 'I promise to be better. Give ma a chance. Tonight let's go for a drive at 8." He'll give this bag to her after lunch.

It all had started when Sloane had gone to meet Lucas's friends for the first time, Nriti had seen Josh come towards her dorm.

She had made an excuse for Sloane. They had dinner together that night.

That was that. Josh had asked her out and then he had again. She had said no, though, she knew she did not want to tell Sloane about this right now.

When she saw the books and the bag though, there was a smile she couldn't take off. Even her book boyfriends would agree, Josh had earned her going for the drive at night.
