Klaus moaned softly into ariks mouth , his lips on his own making his body feel like jelly and arik pressing him up against the wall was the only reason he hadn't collapsed

Rays body was on the pool table , limp and dead

" you're back ", klaus panted , bleary gaze looking over ariks shoulder to catch stefans gaze

Making the Salvatore blink , swallowing thickly as he looked away from the scene

Arik doesn't stop kissing klaus though , he bites down on the hybrids bottom lip , sucking softly until it's bruised before pushing his lips against his jaw in soft kisses

" did you doubt me ?", Stefan asks in response

" not for a second ", Klaus hums out , his words coming off breathy  , pushing arik away momenterily ,making arik step back , wiping his chin and bottom lip and not bothering to turn around to even look at Stefan , he keeps his heated gaze on klaus , eyeing him with a deep gaze " I knew you'd pass the test . You still care for yogre brother , for your old life ", klaus states calmly - making Stefan scoff a half chuckle as he becomes defencive

" no , I don't care about anything anymore", he claims strongly

And the married couple may have believed him if it weren't for the fact it was so entirely unlike him  to say

He felt to strongly with his emotions on to not care

" you put on a good show , Stefan . I almost believe you . Let's hope for your brothers sake , he does . ", klaus mutters uncaringly as he comes over to Stefan , stepping into the man's personal space

" you never stop caring about family , do you ?", he whispers in his ear " but every time you feed , the blood makes it easier to let go"

Stefan stormed out of the  bar , taking deep breathe sof air as if it was the first time he's been able to breathe in a while , his eyes begun to gloss over as he looked up at the sky

He slowly pulls a phone from his pocket , it begining to ring as he pulls it up to his ear with a pained face , his face crumbles entirely when he sees arik directly infront of him , looking at him knowingly

He doesn't even fight it when the man takes the phone from him , dropping it onto the floor and stepping onto it with a sigh

Stefans hand shakes slightly from where it was held by his ear

" your only making it hard for yourself ", arik mutters as he looks down at Stefan

Stefan doesn't speak , entirely not willing himself to , and even if he did have a answer - he didn't think he'd be able to get anything out other than a cry

A small tear slips down his face , and he wipes it quickly , directing his gaze up to the sky once more until he feels arik pat his head , then he looks back to the man

" she doesn't deserve you , you'll find a better love some day in the future ", he breathes out , pushing himself to pull stefan into his chest for a hug , the man presto ally collapse , not being able to hold back his silent crying

And arik sighs , he doesn't think he would have done this to anyone , and he knows this man was nothing like his brother other than the fact they have identical faces . He thinks he's just growing in him , maybe similar to the way Elijah grew on him when they begun to have a relationship

Stefan reminds him allot of Finn and Elijah in the way the act , and it made his heart ache

" you okay ? He isn't getting heavy , is he ?", klaus asks , side glancing arik beside him along with the floating dead body of ray beside Stefan

" it's nothing , can barely feel a thing if I'm honest ", arik shrugs off , drawing klaus closer to him with the hand he held over his hip

Stefan looked between them , a few steps behind and frowned deeper , his usual brooding face was becoming a silky frown every time he'd look at the loving couple . And as bad as he knew it was , every time he looked at them - he only saw what he's never had , not even with elena did he have someone that cared so much about him

Klaus and ariks love consumed eachother entirely and they only cared about them every ticking second that went by , and they were so loud with loving eachother

He knows he still loved elena , she was the only one he loved so purely and lively

But she didn't love him that way , he wasn't going to be the love of her life , as much as he didn't want to accept it ,it tore him up inside

And he longed

He longed so deeply for something to make him feel so deeply , make him love sl entirley

Elena was it for him , as much as Kathrine was , as much as Valarie was , as much as anyone he's ever loved these centuries

He wants to be something to someone too , because what's the point of loving someone this way if you don't love eachother so entirely

Just as arik and klaus look at one another so deeply and lovingly , it's so different and softer than anything he's ever had or seen

And he wants that , he wants it so deeply it only hurts him much more
