Dusk comes, and a new day approaches. The two scientists return once again to their work place at the facility in order to finalize the needed requirements in order to begin the project.
Mark Trevor's POV
Alright! We have the formicarium tank, soil, trowel, test tubes, our Jelly! He he! Now, what next? *scribbles on his list*
Jane Collins's POV
*opens the door* Have you prepared everything yet?
Mark Trevor's POV
Not quite everything yet. We still have yet to receive our Ereptors! We must be patient now! Or else we might pressure the crew whom are delivering them.
Jane Collins's POV
Fine. Keep up the good work.
Mark Trevor's POV
Of course! I will! *hides a bunch of spiders to play with later*
Jane Collins's POV
Hand it over. *extends her arms to Mark*
Mark Trevor's POV
*grunts and mumbles something inaudible while handing the box over*
Jane Collins's POV
Good boy! *pats him on the head* Now, do what you are told.
Mark Trevor's POV
What ever. Now, what's next? Ah! The feeders! Haven't forgotten about them!
Narrator's POV
It is 10:48 AM and the trucks arrived with the said specimens. The workers carry the boxes towards the laboratory at the 5th floor. Jane Collins on the other hand, is in her quarters, reviewing files to be used in the project.
Jane Collins's POV
Phew! That was a load of work! Now, what time is it? Oh! It's about time the specimens arrived! Now, to the waste disposal with these spiders. They will be no use to me. *dumps the spiders that she confiscated from Mark* He is better off spending his time on me, rather than wasting it on you puny arthropods.
*phone rings*
Jane Collins's POV
Who could that be? *answers* Hello? Jane Collins speaking.
Mark Trevor's POV
Jane, the feeders have arrived. Now, where are the Ereptors? The quicker we get them to develop, the better.
Jane Collins's POV
And you wanted three queens?
Mark Trevor's POV
Err, uhm, the third queen will be another colony as a feeder.
Jane Collins's POV
Ahuh, and can I trust you NOT to do anything irresponsible?
Mark Trevor's POV
Yes! Certainly! I can assure you that I will be responsible with in the lab!
Jane Collins's POV
Then the Ereptors are to stay with in the lab at all costs.
Mark Trevor's POV
WHA-! *inhales deeply* What if they are needed in another lab for another experiment?
Jane Collins's POV
Then the experiment will have to be brought to the lab. My decision is final and there will be no exceptions unless I am the one to do so.
Mark Trevor's POV
*inaudibly curses Jane* Whatever you say.
Jane Collins's mind
Checkmate!
Jane Collins's POV
Good! Now, get the formicarium ready. I shall come down with the ants. The jelly is in the upper cabinet. Those jellies are the only ones we will use for this project many more unrefined jelly is in store but using them is risky. Now, get moving. *mumbles inaudibly* (My sweet little boy!)
Narrator's POV
It is 4:11 PM. The two scientists have met in the laboratory to start the project they have been planning for months.
Jane Collins's POV
Alright! Now, here goes the first queen. *implants the test tube* Now we just have to wait until they are fully developed!
Mark Trevor's POV
What about the rest?
Jane Collins's POV
I will be holding on to these. I will raise the colony accordingly. I will entrust you with this one. Don't mess up!
Mark Trevor's mind
You little prick!
Mark Trevor's POV
Of course you can! I promise to be responsible with them!
Jane Collins' POV
You better be. Now, report to me once the colony is mature enough for the experiments to begin. I will be in my office if you need me.
Jane Collins's mind
Oh you will certainly need me, alright!
Mark Trevor's mind
If I will need you, it would be a full blown atomic war or an outbreak!
Mark Trevor's POV
Yes, yes, whatever. Now shoo! Let me do my work!
Jane Collins's POV
Rude. *slams the door behind her*
Mark Trevor's POV
Alright now, my little ants! Grow quickly! We have lots of work to do!
