Chapter 9: What Lies Below

2 days after the North building incident, Seo and his team just arrive back to the Sanctuary from hunting Gaoru at East building. As they walk at the hall area,

Member of group 2: "Sir..."

Seo: "Hmm? Can I help you?"

Member of group 2: "Our leader, Tozen, would like to meet you at our office as soon as possible."

Seo: "Is that so?  Very well, I'll be heading to his office right away."

Member of group 2: "Understood, sir."

As the member of group 2 leave, Varmoth walk toward Seo.

Varmoth: "A meeting?"

Seo: "Yeah, it's Tozen. I'm going to his office now so please keep an eye on the others for me."

Varmoth: "Uhn, roger that."

Thus, they walk in separate way where Seo is on his way to the base of group 2 while Varmoth catch up to the rest of the team.

Few moments later, Seo arrives at the base of group 2 where Tozen is waiting at the entrance.

Tozen: "I've been expecting you, Seo-san."

Seo: "It's been a while, old friend."

Tozen: "Well then, shall we continue our conversation as we walk to my office?"

Seo: "Sure"

They start to go inside the base and walk along the corridor where most of Tozen's workers are writing down the update data regarding the stats of each people from all groups. As they continue walk along the corridor,

Tozen: "So, how's the growth of your group lately?"

Seo: "I was able to recruit 3 more members in my team in a matter of 2 months. A lot have happened after the day I brought that man in my team."

Tozen: "I see. I'm really interested to know about each of them since most of your team have unique individuals especially that dryad girl and the one with wings because of their amazing abilities."

Seo: "I guess you won't be able to meet them since you're a busy man with reviewing the data in your office."

Tozen: "If only Akihiro-san give me 3 days off."

As they reach to his office, Tozen begins to check some things at the bookshelf while Seo is sat in front of the office table. Soon after, Tozen walks back and sit on his office chair then put down a scroll and open it revealing a map of 4 building which happen to be the world they currently live in. As Seo look at the map, he turns his look at Tozen.

Seo: "What are these marks in this map?"

Tozen: "Well..."

Their discussion continues as Varmoth and the others walk along the shopping market to buy some foods.

Meanwhile, at the corner of the hall where there's a corridor people are rarely walk into are also where 3 members of group 3 meet up then continue to walk inside an empty room. In that room, there's a big crack on the floor that led to the unknown passage. As these 3 members arrive at the bottom floor of the building, their leader, Kojima, is already waiting with rest of his group as he stands next to an unknown Gaoru that sleep inside a capsule that filled with unknown blue liquid. Once all of his group are assembled, he gazes at the sleeping creature in awe.

Kojima: "What a magnificent creature."

Soon after, he presses a button that drain the blue liquid out of the capsule then before long, the creature is awake from its deep slumber.
