Hoss,
The next morning, I lay in bed, reflecting on my conversation with Camilla the previous night. I realize that I can no longer fulfill her request. I want my girlfriend to come back home and be with me in our bed. With this in mind, I head straight to the Captain's office when I arrive at the precinct.
"Good morning, Captain," I greet him.
"What the hell do you want, Moore?" Captain Jones barks.
Is he seriously questioning me after everything I've done for this department? I even risked my life in Georgia as a favor for his friend, and now he wants to question why I need a few weeks off?
"I have a family matter in Charlotte, North Carolina," I explain.
"Damn it, Moore, does this have anything to do with the girl from the warehouse last week? The one you were just cleared to go back to work from?" the Captain asks.
There's no point in lying.
"Yes, sir, it is directly related to her."
" Well, Hoss, are you in love with this girl?"
" I haven't really thought about it, but yes, I do believe I am in love with her a lot, and I don't want to lose her, sir."
" You have a week then. You need to come back here and work for three weeks straight, no weekends off, understood?"
I didn't want to argue with him about my unused vacation time. I'm just grateful that he is giving me this time off. "Yes, sir, you won't hear any complaints from me." As I'm walking out the door, I stop and express my gratitude for his understanding and allowing me to take time off on short notice. "Just go get your girl." Saluting him, I leave the room. I find Barry and inform him of my plan. "Good luck, bro," he says, slapping me on the back. "Go bring her home."
"I plan on it." I smirk at him.
I had just finished showering and was on my way to North Carolina, contemplating whether I should call Camilla's parents before arriving. After a seven-hour journey, I find myself standing on the front steps of Camilla's family home. Taking a deep breath, I exhale twice before finally mustering the courage to knock on their door.
*Knock Knock*
I wait anxiously, counting about five seconds before hearing the sound of approaching footsteps. Another deep breath escapes me, hoping that it's not Camilla who answers the door. I fear that she would promptly shut it in my face, without a doubt. To my relief, a tall, older man, weighing around 180 pounds, opens the door and greets me with a smile. "You must be Hoss," he says, extending his hand for a handshake. "Yes, sir, I am," I reply, shaking his hand.
It's a pleasure to meet you. We're really glad you're here. We hope you can help our daughter who's been feeling down lately. But she would be angry if she heard me say that.
"Please come in," Camilla's dad says, gesturing for me to enter.
I step into a large room that I assume is the living room.
"She's in the den," Mr. Mason tells me, nodding his head in Camilla's direction.
I follow Mr. Mason's indication and walk towards the den where Camilla is sitting. I stand in the doorway and watch her read for a few minutes.
She is incredibly beautiful.
"Camilla," I say, walking further into the den. Her face lights up at the sound of my voice, but then her expression falls as she realizes I'm here.
Camilla jumps up from her chair, clearing her throat. "You're here," she says.
"Yes, baby, I'm here," I say, walking closer to her. But she starts backing away from me as if I'm the enemy.
I continue walking towards her, determined not to let her run away from me again.
"Hoss, please," she pleads.
I somewhat approach her quickly, grabbing her wrist to prevent her from running away. I express my frustration, telling Camilla that she can't escape from me again. Camilla's eyes become teary as she tries to push me away by placing her hands on my chest. I assert myself, refusing to let her go. I pull her closer to me and demand that she sits down with me to explain why she is pushing me away. Camilla responds, saying that she can't continue with our relationship and that's why she came to her parents. I angrily question what she can't handle anymore. As I do, I notice her father standing in the doorway, and I give him a look to assure him that I won't harm her.
He acknowledges me with a nod and walks away. I can no longer pretend that I am good for you. Everyone I care about ends up getting killed because of me, and I cannot let the same fate befall you. She sobs, "If anything happens to you because of me, it will be like dying a thousand deaths."
Our lips meet in a passionate kiss, and we pause to catch our breath. "I'm not going anywhere," I assure her. She asks, tears streaming down her cheeks, "How do you know?"
"Because I'm Hoss fucking Moore," I whisper, trying to lighten the mood as I smile down at her.
Camilla slaps my chest and says, "Don't you dare try to make me laugh right now."
I give her my favorite smile and say, "But I love the sound of your laughter."
♾️
We sit outside on her family's porch, swinging on the porch swing, and we talk for the next three hours. Camilla explains to me why she felt the need to keep me away.
I express my disbelief to her on her final words. Camilla raises an eyebrow at me and asks which part I find unbelievable. I reply that I find it all unbelievable. Alan is dead and can no longer harm anyone, so her attempt to keep me away from her is nonsense. She thanks me sarcastically for making her feel foolish for trying to keep me safe and tries to run away again. I grab her arm and tell her to stop running away from me. I insist that she sits down because I'm not finished talking to her. Camilla complies and rests her head on my chest, surprising me. She starts crying. I plead with her not to cry and assure her of my love. She confesses that she loves me deeply but is afraid of losing me like she lost her best friend. I lift her chin so that I can look into her eyes and tell her that my love for her is also immense. We spend a few more hours sitting on the porch swing, holding hands.

The next day, Camilla and I wake up early to have breakfast with her parents before heading out. It's unfortunate that we have to drive in separate vehicles, but I'm fine with it because she's finally coming home with me.
Once we arrive home, I can't contain my excitement and immediately shower Camilla with affection.
"Oh baby, I missed you so much, you have no idea," I express.
"I'm pretty sure I do, because I've missed you just as much, Hoss," she replies.
"Come to bed with me and show me how much you've missed me," I playfully tease.
As we make our way towards her bedroom, there's a knock on the door, causing Camilla to jump slightly.
"It's okay, baby," I reassure her.
I walk over to the window to see who's on the other side of the door, and to my surprise, it's Berry and Olivia.
"It's just Berry and Olivia," I inform Camilla.
"Oh, that's right, I informed Olivia. I was on my way home with you because she has been so worried, and your in big trouble." I say. Camilla sticks her tongue out at me in response.
"I have a good plan for that tongue," I tell her as I open the door for Berry and Olivia. Olivia slaps me on the chest as she walks through the door. "Thank you, asshole, for telling me you were going to get our girl," she says sarcastically.
Camilla snickers and asks, "Who's in trouble again?" Olivia replies, "Oh, I have plenty of anger to go around for the both of you." She then walks over to Camilla and gives her a hug. "How are you doing?" Olivia asks Camilla.
"Taking it day by day," Camilla replies. Olivia responds, "Well, from now on, you take it day by day with us, you understand?" Camilla just smiles at Olivia.
"Are you guys hungry? We were just about to prepare something to eat. What would you like us to cook?" I ask the girls.
"I think we have some chicken in the freezer." Camilla tells me.
" How about Berry and I grilled chicken?" I suggest, and everyone agrees. About an hour later, we are sitting in the backyard, enjoying our meal at the picnic table that Camilla got a couple of months back. "So, what are you guys planning to do for the rest of the day?" Berry asks, and I can't help but say it. "I'm going to show my girl just how much I've missed her," I say. Camilla turns crimson red. "Sorry, baby," I tell her and give her a hug. "Yeah, yeah," she says, pushing me away.
After Berry and Olivia left about an hour ago, we cleaned up the kitchen and backyard. Now, it's time to go upstairs with Camilla and show her the love and attention she deserves. I take Camilla's hand and lead her up the stairs to the bedroom. Once inside, I close the door behind us and start to undress. I remove my shirt, then turn to Camilla and pull her towards me by her shirt. With her arms raised, I remove her shirt and then work on unhooking her bra. Next, I focus on removing her pants and panties.
Once she is fully undressed, I step back and admire her beautiful body. I run my hand up one side of her body, caressing her breast, and then move over to the other side, teasing her nipples as I go. I lean in and take one of her nipples into my mouth, gently sucking and nipping at it. Camilla arches her back in pleasure, enjoying the sensation.
I continue my exploration, moving down her stomach towards her pussy. Along the way, I plant kisses, and once I find her clit, I give it attention. I suck it into my mouth, applying pressure and intensity, causing Camilla to moan my name in pleasure.
I pick her up and she wraps her legs around my waist. Once she's settled, I walk us over to the wall for support as I slowly enter her.
God, I've missed this. I moan and go deeper.
"Oh, Hoss," she cries, and I sink even deeper as we make love to each other, calling out each other's names.
Once we catch our breath, we both take a shower and head to bed.
We spend the next couple of days enjoying each other's company before we have to go back to work on Monday.
It's Sunday and I'm taking Camilla to see Disney on Ice. She saw it on TV a few months ago and mentioned how much she would love to go, so I'm surprising her with tickets to tonight's show.
Camilla comes out wearing a stunning black dress that accentuates her curves.
I can't help but put my fist in my mouth.
"Do you like it?" she asks.
"Hmm, I love it," I tell her. "Spin for me," I say, and she giggles.
"Man, you're so lucky we don't have much time before the show starts. Let's go before I change my mind and keep you locked up in the bedroom for the rest of the night."
And you won't tell me where we're going?" She asked.
"Wouldn't be a surprise if I told you now, would it?" I replied with a smirk.
"No, I guess it wouldn't be," she says, trying to hide her excitement.
"Alright, let's go," I tell her, taking her hand and leading her out to my truck. I opened the passenger side door for her and helped her in.
We drove to Orlando, specifically to the Amway Center. When we arrived at the front of the building, I saw Berry and Olivia waiting for us.
"You guys made it!" Olivia exclaimed, coming over to hug us.
"Does she know what we're doing yet?" Olivia whispered in my ear. I shake my head, and Olivia smiled at me. "I knew you had a romantic side, Rena Moore." She teases me.
"Alright, let's get in there and find our seats," I tell everyone, grabbing Camilla's hand. We walked into the building and handed our tickets to the ticket master. We found our seats, which happened to be the closest to the ice arena.
Once we were seated, a server came over to take our drink order and handed us menus to look at.
"Oh, Hoss, is this Disney on Ice?" Camilla squeals with excitement.
I nodded my head, and she leans over to kiss my cheek. "Thank you so much," she whispers .
"You're very welcome, baby," I tell her.
Our food arrived just as the show was about to start, so we enjoyed it while we waited.
Once the show started, Camilla was completely engrossed in it, she never takes her eyes off the ice arena.
And I couldn't take my eyes off her.Authors Note: How are you enjoying the book this far. Leave a comment below telling me what you think.
