I unbuckled my seatbelt, stepping out of my Dodge Charger. I had decided to stop by Jazmines' apartment before heading to the gym. Zaire had left his stuffy at my apartment yesterday, and I knew how fussy he got without it. Tyrone was at the the shop today, and would be there doing tattoos until late.

I grabbed his stuffed animal from the backseat, jogging up the flight of stairs to her apartment. I rang the doorbell, waiting for an answer.

She finally opened the door, moving the vape away from her lips.

   "Why you here?"

"Zai left this yesterday," I handed her the bear.

"Okay," She said with an attitude. "Why you dropping it and not my baby daddy?"

"Tyrone has to work," I snapped back. "Tyrone and I are in a relationship so you gon need to get use to me being around."

"Oh bitch," She snickered. "All I gotta say is the word and trust Ju running right back."

"It's been a year and he clearly ain't back."

"I know you think he loves you now," She clicked her tongue. "But what's meant to be will find its way in the end."

"You're right,"I folded my arms over my chest. "And that's exactly why he's found his way to me."

"Just know little girl," Her country accent got thicker. "I'm getting my man back."

She slammed the door in my face.

I pumped my legs, running on the treadmill.

"Hellooooo," Harley grabbed onto the machine slowing it down. "What got you in a mood?"

"Tyrone baby mama."

"Girl what this bitch do now," She shook her head taking a long gulp from her water.

"Zaire left one of his toys behind," I stepped off the treadmill. "So I went ahead and dropped it to her apartment. Long story short she told me she's coming to get her man back."

"Girl She shook her head as we walked towards the weight room. "He left her when she was like five months pregnant. Trust me my cousin doesn't want her."

"How do I even know he's over her for real," I shook my head. "He's never even told me why they broke up. He shuts down whenever I ask anything about her."
