It was the scariest and most freeing thing she had ever done in her life. Today she had decided to take a walk wearing a cute night blue dress that her sister had become too tall to wear, but fit her perfectly despite her somewhat pudgy stomach.
A few people gave her weird look as she passed them. But thankfully no one pointed or yelled at her like she was afraid of.
She had always loved dresses and skirts. But had never been allowed to wear them and didn't have to courage to try it on behind her family's back. But today everyone had gone to visit grandma and she had been left behind since grandma hated her. Robin was still in the closet but she knew that everyone in her family arleady suspected about her hidden feelings. It's not like she did a very good job at hiding them.
You see Robin always felt like a girl. But everytime she tried to act girly her family would yell at her. All because she supposedly didn't have the right thing between her legs to be a real girl.
She had always been jealous of her sister who was able to be who she was without consequences and yet she couldn't. Robin had yet to actually admitted to her parents that she wanted to be a girl. But she knew deep down that if she put her feelings out there in the open it would only put her in even more trouble than she arleady was. So she kept it quiet and tried to induldge in her girly side only when she was on her own.
Unfortunately this meant she wasn't allowed to grow her hair out. She had a boyish short cut of hair that she absolutely hated and that was most likely why she attracted so much confused glances right now. Because otherwise her appearance was pretty androgynous thanks to the fact she was only nine years old.
Deciding to take a little break from all the stares she took a small detour throught an alley. She felt more at ease once she was one her own and began to twirl around giggling at the way her dress would ripple around.
''What are you doing in a dress, Robin? You're trying to be a faggot? '' A voice she really didn't want to hear today of all day said.
She turned around and gasped fearfully at the sight of Mike. He was pretty infamous at school for bullying gay kids, but she had managed to hide her own secret from him, until now.
''I know there was something off about you. But I would never have expected you to be a damn tranny.'' Without any warning the boy rushed at her and punched her brutally in the face.
''Ow, stop! I didn't do anything to you!'' She said with tears arleady streaming down her face.
''You exist, that's all the offense I need to kick your ass, you fat fuck.'' He said before punching her in her pudgy belly making her lose her breath and hunch over in pain. As she tried to regain her breath and footing he pushed her hard. She was sent falling down on the ground with a painful yelp.
''Don't ever wear those sissy clothes again if you know what's good for you. Tranny pigglet.'' He said before spitting on her dress and walking away.
Once she was left completely alone Robin began to sob. Why couldn't she just have been a girl? And why did everyone was so against her acting like one?! She never wanted to offend anybody she just wanted to be herself!
She curled up and continue to cry for what felt like hours. After a while she noticed that she was getting cold laying on the cold ground in a random alley. So she slowly and painfully rose to her feet.
Once she was up she looked down at herself and whimpered at how much tears, gashes and dirt had stain her pretty dress. It was completely ruined now.
She didn't feel like walking around anymore...She just wanted to go home and hide away from everything.
