Kazuha embraced the kiss, his body getting tingles every second. Was this normal? Was he in an episode of "Kissed a Stranger"? He remembered reading one of those during the times with Tomo... His Electro vision flashing away.
Kazuha slowly backed his face away, surrendering as he felt hot air blow towards his face.
His face turned pink and he turned his head away quickly in realization.
"That was-- unexpected," he admitted, sounding lovestruck and dizzy.
Wanderer chuckled. "I'm getting used to you. That was an unexpected reaction I got from it, Kazuha."
Kazuha slightly enlightened himself, turning around once more. He never recalled getting romanticized by someone as different as Wanderer.
It could have been a sign.
"Wanderer," Kazuha started, "...you should come to the town sometime." He held out his hand as Wanderer reached out to put his palm onto it. "After all... not all who wander are lost."
~
Wanderer thought about it, not wanting to leave Kazuha alone. He then slowly replied, seeming slightly hesitant.
"Okay," he finally replied. "But don't expect me to..." He twirled his other finger around. "...mingle, you call it?"
Kazuha winked. "That's alright. I'm just glad you decided to come." He then got up from the log.
"I'll see you tomorrow then?"
Wanderer nodded, "Yeah."
The leaves covered the path as Kazuha waved and walked towards it.
Wanderer was getting driven into madness. What was he thinking? Why was he even feeling emotion for another human, especially one that didn't have the same value as him? He would lose Kazuha, just like everyone else...
Wanderer knew he had to do something about it. Who was he, to be foolish enough to think that he would ever keep a promise with Kazuha?
His mind seemed to whisper to him, "Get away from him, Wanderer. Don't you know humans are pathetic?"
Wanderer was torn.
He was tired.
Tired of why he had to deal with this.
Tired of the universe, people, and everything.
He sighed, grabbing his hat and putting it back on his head with the leaf as he turned to leave.
~
The next morning was a cloudy day. Not too bad, Kazuha thought. He walked towards the familiar path, thinking about what they would do.
Meh, they would decide when they got to town. Maybe Wanderer and he could share some new intel.
Kazuha strolled down, catching a few leaves in his hair on the way. He brushed them off, yet leaving a few still hovering above his head, as the log and dry tree came to view. He walked towards it, reaching his destination.
The wind was powerful that day, and the trees swayed strongly.
Kazuha hummed a tune to himself, closing his eyes and replaying flashbacks in his eyes.
A powerful gust of wind came upon him a few moments later, as he opened one eye and covered the wind using his arms.
Wanderer stood upon him, one hand on his hip.
"Are we going or am I late?" he teased.
Kazuha chuckled, grabbing Wanderer's hand gently. He then turned toward the edge of the cliff.
"It's down there, just follow me."
Kazuha jumped down, letting go of Wanderer's arm. He sprouted his glider out, flying north.
Wanderer soon caught up and flew alongside him, without needing a glider. He only needed to fly.
Interesting, Kazuha thought.
They continued to fly downwards until they saw the town come into view. Kazuha glanced towards Wanderer, realizing that he looked calm and emotionless. He felt that deep down, Wanderer had the tiniest bit of nervousness.
Kazuha smiled at him, as he seemed to notice. The two started to drop down to the gate, Kazuha being faster to plunge while Wanderer flew downwards and softened his landing.
"Hmph, I haven't seen this place in a while," Wanderer said, looking around at all the stalls and houses.
"Ah, you've been here before?" Kazuha slightly leaned over, looking at Wanderer with his hat on.
"I have, actually." Wanderer crossed his arms, closing his eyes and looking away while the blue fabric dangling on his hat swayed.
"Oh, sorry to offend you," Kazuha brushed a strand of hair from his bangs in embarrassment.
"Hmm, well might as well enjoy the moment I have here," Wanderer replied. He glared at Kazuha as if in a good way. "Don't worry, let's just go."
"Alright. We can start over here then. Let's go!"
