Part 1.

"I miss UA." Izuku muttered to himself as he grabbed his backpack from the floor, then stuffed his notebooks and textbooks in before standing up. The final bell had rung for the day and the boy now found himself leaving the classroom that housed his final period, that being a geometry class.

After basically a full year at UA high studying heroics, Izuku was not at all prepared to go back to a normal school setting. That's not to say that he struggled or didn't have modicum of enjoyment though, just that it simply wasn't the same.

If anything, it reminded him more of his middle school days, and that brought back some rather nasty memories for Izuku. But thankfully for him, no new ones were made today.

Everyone here was nice, that at least was different than Aldera, The worst that Izuku even got was a couple of people insulting the color of his hair, but the majority of the people were amicable. Most of them who commented about his hair even complimented it, even if it was under the impression that it was dyed.

It was fine, a normal and non 'quirk' filled school. It might take some getting used to, but Izuku digressed, as he now had a new focus.

After passing by some other students as everyone exited the building, Izuku walked down the stairs at the front of the school and hooked a left. He had seen a pathway to the back of the building on the way earlier, so he took it and headed towards one of the gym exits.

Then, after taking a breath and making sure no one was around, Izuku activated the 7th users quirk to float upward and land on the roof of the school.

For a moment it looked empty to the teen, just a few balls that had been kicked up to the roof over the years and nothing else. But after a bit more searching, Izuku did find Eve at the edge of the roof, her legs dangling off the edge as she played around with her phone.

"Hey Eve." Izuku greeted after walking towards her, grabbing the girl's attention away from her smartphone as he walked next to her, thankfully not startling her in the process.

"Oh, hey Izuku." She greeted back, smiling to him for a moment before she looked downward, watching a handful of students walk out of the gym exit.

Izuku, who took a seat next to her, looked down as well and watched as those students entered the field behind the school in jerseys and athletic wear, likely about to start a practice of some sort.

The two shared a comfortable silence for a few minutes, the air blowing around them as the chill of autumn nipped at their skin. Both knew a heavy conversation was likely about to occur, but neither one wanted to speak first.

It was a stalemate, and eventually someone had to speak.

"...Being a hero here doesn't always mean killing." Eve suddenly broke the silence, grabbing Izuku's attention away from where he was looking and placing it firmly on her as he listened intently.

"...I know that in your world, your heroes always tried their best to not kill, we do the same here, but sometimes killing is-"

"Necessary." Izuku finished her thought, his green eyes looking into her own as she was a bit caught off guard by his interjection.

"...I know, Eve." Izuku mumbled softly, then paused for a moment before continuing.

"Back in my world, I was more naive about things. I always thought that you could reach a resolution with a villain that didn't include their death. But after the last few months of my life back home, and then the Flaxans here...I just don't know if that's possible anymore."
