Chapter 3: Demon King, Oda Nobunaga

Kitsune's POV

After the battle with Sanada Yukimura and Akahana Akatsuki, Masamune allowed us to take refuge in Musashi. Kojurou asked for me and I followed him up a hill where Masamune sat under a cherry blossom tree. My heart quickened and I wondered why, until I remembered what Akahana said. I guess I do have feelings for Masamune but, I have no right to fall for him.

"In the end, we fought neither the war god of Eichigo nor the tiger of Kai. We ended up in the wrong battle."

"So, we didn't get the big timers don't be down we'll have another opportunity"

"Contrary to what both of you say, you don't sound disappointed"

It is true I wasn't disappointed but, for some odd reason, I feel some relief. Masamune and Kojurou continued their conversation while I enjoy the scenery, it has been so long since I've been able to see cherry blossoms fall. Kojurou mentioned a strategy that he learned from the Takeda army, something called the woodpecker strategy.

"Sounds like we're going to meet them again, you ready Date-sama?"

"I'll be ready when you call me Masamune"

"Oh no, did you hear that Kojurou Date-sama's never going to be ready"

Kojurou chuckled at my sarcastic remark, while Masamune just stared at the night sky.

"Hey, Kojurou, how long do you think Kitsune will say my name?"

"All in due time, Masamune-sama"

"The day I'll say you're name would only for an important reason, which is never"

We all chuckled at our little bickering, just wait for it Akahana we'll meet again sooner than you think.

>>NEXT DAY>>

"We're gonna tear it up! Let's party!"

Now we just have to wait for these soldiers to fight with Takeda and Imagawa's head will be ours. We jump down the hill to see the Takeda army behind us, I smirked at Akahana when she spotted me. Masamune and I rode off to catch up with Imagawa, once we approached them from behind we circled around the army. There goes Masamune showing off again, we'll I should do something productive.

I jumped off my horse and cut down all the archers and bodyguards. I see my black red glow again I have to give it my all today, there's no way I'd let these small fries mess with Masamune. Although he does seem to have fun with them, you're so merciless Masamune. Once we were done it was just the two of us standing, we found a trembling body staring right back at us.

We walked closer to him our katanas waiting to just cut off the pathetic lord's head off, Masamune and I stopped when we heard familiar yells behind us. So they came that's great. Akahana and I listened to our lords bickering to each other, we seemed to send each other glares, I smirked at her which obviously agitated her.

"I won't let you stop my general's fight!"

"Heh, I don't need to stop him Date-sama will defeat him"

"Don't you dare take my general so lightly!"

She charged at me with her sais and before she could strike me my katana was already pointed at her neck.

"It'd be really sad if you died right now in front of your general since you have feelings for him"

Her whole face turned red and she kicked my katana away and aimed for my neck, I dodged her sai and punched her in the face, she did the same. That's when you could see our glow again, here I come Akahana you better not disappoint me.

Our fight continued as we landed punches on each other so at one point we used our weapon. We were in a deadlock her two sais blocked my katana but I added pressure onto the sais making my katana scrape the sais slowly.

Rain drenched on us and we were both out of breath, that's when I notice that damn Imagawa had body doubles. Masamune and I ran back to our horses to chase down the body doubles, I followed Masamune. It's for certain that we're chasing the real Imagawa but, in front of us was a suspicious person. Masamune's horse fell in front of me and I stopped my horse who threw me off its back to stop, I landed on Masamune.

"Ow, my apologies, Date-sama"

"No it's fine, I'm alright but you, you're scratched up"

"I'm fine I deal with injuries much worse than these"

Masamune helped me up and we continued our search for that suspicious person. Then an army had surrounded us I wasn't familiar with this army, I looked up to see four people. The one standing on top gave off an unsettling aura almost as if he were a devil, Masamune was about to draw his swords until he froze.

"Date-sama?"

I called out to him but he wouldn't move, I glare at the man above us and unsheathed my sword. I heard an amused sound from all of them, what have they never seen someone try to fight back? Kojurou, Yukimura, Akahana, and the ninja arrived Yukimura apparently explained who this man was. Demon King of Owari, Oda Nobunaga.

My heart quickened once again not because of Masamune, no something in me loses control and I glare once again at Oda this time with my black red glow surrounding me. The man from earlier raised Imagawa and Oda placed a western gun to his head and fired my teeth clench. As he walked away I yelled.

The demon inside me lost control and my glow turned violent as it breaks the rocks around me. Apparently, it caught the attention of Nobunaga and his people. The one with long white hair pointed his scythe directly at me.

"The one-eyed dragon's fox, so the rumors were true you really are a demon fox. Don't worry we will meet again my wonderful demon fox"

The look he gave me was disgusting and his comrades wished for our paths to cross again, I lost control of my demon, letting a growl escape from my mouth and destroy a boulder near Nobunaga. They left but, for a while I didn't know Masamune was shaking me, he snapped me back to myself I took deep breaths. I looked back at everyone but their look has changed into fear I didn't care at the moment just what the hell was that? My demon? Is this what my mother had to go through?
