The Millionaires Mistake

Chap. 5

Chris:
I went back to the office building to see what my dad needed. I had to drive forty-five minutes just to get to work.
"Swear if my dad makes me drive all the way over here for some stupid shit I'm leaving!" I said to myself in the car with anger.
I got out my car and went inside the building. I went straight to the elevator and pressed the button with the number ten. I stormed out the elevator and went into my dads office.
" Dad what was so important that you made me drive all the way over here."
"Sit down, we need to talk." The tone in my dads voice was kinda low so I knew something is wrong.
"Want happened?"
"Son, your mother has cancer." I was so shocked that when I looked at my dads face he looks like he was going to cry any minute.
"When did you find this out?"
"I found out this afternoon right after you left." Tears started filling my eyes and I lost it. I hugged my dad so tight like I never did before.
"It's going to be okay. We just gotta think positive and show her that just because she does have cancer were not gonna be any different. Just be gentle with her."
"Dad I'm going to go see her right now." I stormed out the office and ran to the elevator. I reached the main floor and ran to my car. I couldn't focus because I the thought of my mom being sick is the last thing I wanted. I jumped in my car and raced out to the hospital.

I reached the hospital and parked my car. I raced out the car and ran into the hospital.
"Hi, how may I help you."
"I'm looking for Joan King."
"Oh there she is. She's in the C section in room 34."
"Thank you." I ran to the C section and looked for room 34. When I found it, I went straight into the room and hugged my mom.
"Mom, how are you. Dad told me what you had. I came right away when he told me."
"Sweetie, I'm glad your here. But listen I'm going to be okay." I bent down and hugged her so tight and cried in her arms.
"Mom I love you so much."
"I love you too Christopher."
