Sakura didn't always want to be a ninja.
Just like any normal child, she spent most of her young days being immersed in fairy tails and fictional books of princesses, fire-breathing dragons and swords.
But what was it that made her yearn to be one?
It took only one man for her to becharmed into being a ninja and changing the trajectory of her life.
She was just six or seven when she met him for the first and only time.
That day, she had been crying because of the dangers she faced.
Droplets of salty tears clung onto her eyelashes as her blurred sight took notice of the danger in front of her, her back pressed against the harsh and cold bark of the tree.
There it was, a boar was in front of her.
It was a small creature but for a young girl like her, it might as well swallow her whole without leaving any evidence of her death.
Sakura rubbed her eyes with trembling hands as she took in the form of the boar - its nose flaring in anger and loud growls enough to scare anyone her age.
With precision, a kunai stabbed the boar's neck and ended its life in one swift move.
This move left her mouth wide open and green eyes shimmered in awe as she saw how easily the 'monstrous' boar had been killed.
"Here," A hand appeared in front of her and she looked up to see a tall boy in his teenage giving her a handkerchief.
"Ah-" With her cheeks flushing dark in embarrassment, she grabbed the handkerchief quickly and dabbed her tears dry.
Cautiously, she peeked through her lashes and saw the face - two lines on his face, slightly tan skin, beautiful onyx eyes and beautiful black hair tied in a low ponytail.
