Milaria walked around the research facility with her fairy wings hidden so as not to accidentally break anything. It was a mess all around, as the researchers could be said to be so close to madness that they induced themselves for the purpose of having a great capability of research power. Insanity may be seen as something bad by many, but for these researchers, insanity was just the next step so that they could do even greater experiments.

Milaria strayed away from the path of insanity when she was called upon to be one of the people in the hero troop. There were countless researchers just sleeping around from every race, and Milaria could only sigh upon seeing them.

Walking around them all, she got out of there and entered a different room, where she saw a pale woman with white hair that was turned into a ponytail. She wore a black trench coat that a man would wear. She turned her face to Milaria. Her ruby-like eyes looked at Milario's emerald, green eyes. The woman wore a sweatshirt beneath that trench coat in this room, which was quite hot.

>>Are you not getting hot?<< Milaria asked as she looked at the clothes she wore. She herself was used to different temperatures and could regulate them easily using her elemental power, but she sensed no powers coming out of her that would indicate she was using any magical power to make herself feel cold.

>>I do not feel hot, Milaria, as I'm always cold as ice<< she said as she held multiple papers using her magic and a pen in her left hand. She was writing on all the papers while standing in front of quite a large machine, taking up half the room that stretched 20 meters wide while only 10 meters tall. The inside of the machine held a blue color that was shining. The machine was mostly made of an iron-type metal.

The blue matter that was inside of it could be seen as there was a small window made out of tampered glass, which was more resistant than normal glass. The blue matter inside the machine was magic that was concentrated and shaped into a physical form. This physical form was extremely potent, as it would let out energy that could cause all forms of cancer in everyone in the facility and most likely a quarter of the entire kingdom. Which would be a catastrophe if it were to happen.

>>The magic in it seems to still work well. Is the research going well at least?<< Milaria said, not taking her eyes off the mass of magic in the machine.

The woman let out an exhausted sigh, scratching her head. Milaria could sense from her aura alone that this question would not give her any good answer that would be called good news. Milaria had the talent of sensing the aura that one lets out naturally. The aura that she senses and what the knights use are two different auras: one was a form of energy, and the other was more of a vibe, a feeling that a being or person would let out that Milaria could read in the end.

>>The research overall is not going terribly well, but no further progress has been made than the achievements from 100 years ago.<<

The achievement of 100 years ago was a major one. Where magic was improved upon and mixed with the divine power of what the priests and nuns had combined together to become a form of new power, one may describe The two powers were not meant to be together; it was not understood by the mortals why mana and divine power did not go with one another except that when the two came together, they would enhance cell growth to such a degree that countless cancer cells would grow onto a living being. While this is dangerous, it is also something used against the enemy when they are in small masses.

That is when they achieved a new form of technique, and what the scientist Firlo saw was an elf who had gone missing and had returned in a disfigured way where there were countless tumors even on his body. Thanks to the new form of power that had been made using this new kind of force put into metal that had been reinforced countless times with trial and error with divine and magical power, After that, the new energy had been stuck in these pieces of metal, which they would make larger over the years while using the new energy to try and create new types of energies.
