The Deal

Naye pov:

I was scared.

My heart hammered against my chest as we all waited for Felix's answer.

I looked at him and he glanced back at me. I'm sure he could see how anxious and scared I was and I hoped he'd say no. He knew me since childhood. He couldn't possibly give me away, right?
We spent most of our lifes together and he couldn't be this heartless.

Felix looked forward and at Hongjoon who waited patiently for his decision.
I started picking on the skin of my fingernails as minutes went by.
Felix seemed to think deeply about it and my hopes crushed. If he'd say no then he would've already..

"Fine."

I felt my heart sink and tears pricked my eyes as my mouth agaped in shock.

"Woo!" Hongjoon stood up excitedly and Felix followed his move, standing up as well.

"Now that's-"

"On one condition." Felix interrupted Hongjoon and Hongjoon's joy died down as he sighed and made a hand movement for Felix to continue.

"She'll keep her residence on my territory and will still go to college there. Your guys have to stay out of my territory and what happens to her when she's in my territory is my business-"

"That doesn't sound like you're giving her to me." Interrupted Hongjoon "I know it must be hard for you to make this deal." Hongjoon rolled his shoulder back in a not really caring manner "But a deal is a deal. And you said yes already. Listen, she can still go to the same college and all. But I'll be taking her to me, got it?" Hongjoon asked and pointed his finger at Felix who ran his tongue along his teeth.

"Fine." Felix spat through gritted teeth.

"I'm happy I could made a deal with you, Yongbok." Hongjoon smiled but Felix was expressionless.

"Naye my dear." Hongjoon turned to me with a quite excited voice and motioned for one of the guys I didn't know to come forward.
"Seongwha. Take our dear Naye to the car. We'll come in a few minutes."

The guy, Seongwha, nodded and walked up to me. My eyes traveled to Jisung next to me who gave me an apologizing look. Then my eyes went to Felix. He didn't look back at me and rather stared at the wall in front of him.

I gulped before standing up shakingly and Seongwha grabbed my arm in a firm hold. His grip wasn't too tight but it also wasn't gently— what I totally expected from those guys.

Seongwha walked with me out of the club and to Ateez' cars. As the cold night breeze hit me I couldn't hold back my tears anymore. They rolled down my cheeks, one after another.

Seongwha didn't acknowledge my crying and opened the car door, slightly pushing me towards it to get in and I did.

Felix pov:

Seongwha took Naye outside but I didn't look. I didn't want to face the fact that I just gave Naye away. One of my closest childhood friends. Olivia's best friend.

I could feel her looking at me before they walked out and it was incredibly hard not to look back at her. Not to apologize for the life I put her in.
The deal with Hongjoon had advantages for Stray kids and I think I could make it right. I'd think of a plan to get Naye out of their grip. Without it being Stray kid's fault of course. Then we'd had everything Ateez gave us and Naye would be safe and could life normal.

The shape breath Hongjoon drew in got me back to reality and I looked at him.

"You killed Wooyoung." He said almost inaudible and his face was emotionless.

"He shot Naye. He didn't want to stop when I said it." I told him. I understood that it was hard to lose one of your closest members but I did what I had to do.

Hongjoon clenched his jaw and glared at me. The whole demeanor he put up when Naye was here vanished.

"You'll pay for that. I'm done with you Yongbok." Hongjoon told me "This was the last time I was nice to you." He said threatenly and came close close to my face but I kept my face off any emotion. I wasn't scared of Ateez. Stray kids could put up with them.

Hongjoon glared at me as he made his way out and San, Yeosang and Mingi stared daggers at me as well while following their leader.

I looked after them with a heavy sigh, aware that Naye was waiting in their car right now and that from this day on she'll live on their side of the town. She'll be in their hands. She is already in their hands. Because of me. But I have a plan. I'm gonna make it right, without losing what Hongjoon gave me with the deal.

Naye pov:

I just stared at the seat in front of me this whole time until the car doors opened and I snapped my head up.
The door beside me opened and San placed his hand on my arm, motioning me with his other one to scoot over in the middle.

He then sat in the seat I was before and Yeosang sat on my other side. The passenger and drivers door opened and Mingi got in the driver seat while Hongjoon sat on the passenger seat.

Hongjoon wore a sore expression but that quickly vanished when he turned around to look at me with a wide smile.

"We're gonna have so much fine, darling." He smiled and I averted my eyes to my hands that rested in my lap.

"Mhm." Hongjoon frowned "Don't worry, you're going to get used to us. You will be treated like a princess." He said, popping the p and his smile came back when I glanced up at him. He reached his hand out to me and wiped the last tears on my cheek with his thumb away, cooing at me like I was a fucking baby.

"You're gonna love it with us." Hongjoon said, turning to face the front and Mingi started the car while the whole car ride was silent. Uncomfortably silent.

You're gonna love it with us.
