BACKSTORY!

- the young man had desired two things in life: status, power, and wealth.

- at one point in his life, he found himself infront of a demon, one that had been banished to live in the depths of fontaines waters till it was satisfied.

- the demon asked him what he desired in life. he responded, ' status, power, and wealth. '

- so it told him, ' i shall grant you all of these, under the conditions that you present me with the heart of a human. it can be anybody, only if i know that it is a real heart and you do not trick me. '

- he agreed, unaware that the demon represented the very idea of greed, only wanting more and more, being banished to the bottoms of the ocean floor because of this.

- he was never on good terms with his brother. it was either neutral, or negative. nothing positive, nothing good.

- so he chose to bring the heart of his brother.

- a week after he agreed, he took the life of his brother in their residency. 

- he brought his heart to the demon, who took it in its hands and devoured it.

- but it was greedy, it wanted more, and it wasnt satisfied with what it got. the heart was too small for the demon to feast, so it ripped out his heart along with his brothers, killing him.

- the demon didnt care that it had lied to him, for it was powerful and greedy. it would take, but for sure, it would never give.

- so, monque d'ame was punished for his sin of making a deal with a banished demon by being turned into one.

- he lost his mortal body, taking on the form of a montrosity with hands he could not recognize and a voice that wasn't his.

- he wanted to feel human again, he didnt want to lose himself. so he possessed the body of his brother, his voice not belonging to him but even imitating what is supposed to be a human  was adequate enough.

- as he glanced at his reflection in a mirror, there was a small, glowing vision that dropped onto the floor.
