You check the time, making sure you had everything done by the time Taylor woke up.
Today was her birthday and you wanted it to be perfect.
You started by making her breakfast, that later you would bring to her in bed.
She had the day off and you were going to spend it to the fullest. You and some surprises up your sleeves for today.
Even though Taylor told you multiple times that you didn't need to do anything special, you were going to anyways.
After plating the food carefully on a well decorated tray, you decided to take it up to her in bed.
You walked up the stairs carefully, making sure nothing slides or falls.
You opened the door slightly, and see Taylor sitting up, a bit confused since you're usually there beside her.
"Good morning, birthday girl." You smiled, walking in with the tray.
Taylor sighed happily, almost like she was expecting you do to something like this.
"Y/n, I told you that you didn't need to do anything special." She smiled, as you laid the tray on her lap.
"Yeahhh..." you started, smirking as you knew that this wasn't even the beginning.
"But it's your special day. You deserve to feel special, plus this isn't even me getting started, my love."
"Trust me, every second I'm with you I feel special. Don't feel like you have to do anything." Taylor confessed.
"Don't get all sweet on me, Tay." You giggled, as her words made you blush. They were so sincere and caring.
Taylor chuckled at your actions, as she dug in to her food.
"Is it good, my love?" You asked, hoping that she liked it.
"It's amazing. Thank you so much." She replied, as she set her fork down.
"Of course, Tay. I'll be right back." You smiled at her, then preceded walking away.
Taylor chuckled, "I have a feeling that you're getting something..." she was a bit scared, but intrigued to see what Y/n had up her sleeves.
Moments later Y/n walked back in the room, with something behind her back.
"Oh, baby...I said no presents!!" Taylor said.
"I couldn't not get you this." You said and handed Taylor a small box that was beautifully wrapped.
Taylor carefully untied the bow and opened the box.
In the box was a cute little note and a jewelry case.
She opened the case to a necklace with her and yours initials engraved on it, with a heart in between.
"Oh my god, this is so cute." Taylor awed at the necklace holding it up, admiring it.
Taylor put it on, with your help.
"I'm going to wear this forever, Y/n. Thank you so much, baby!" Taylor thanked you again, pulling you in for a hug.
"I'm so glad you like it." You returned her hug.
Time Skip
Taylor went out with some friends, so you thought it would be a perfect time to set everything up for a surprise birthday dinner.
You set the table, making sure everything was exact. You lit candles and prepared all her favorite food. After checking that you were good on time, you started pipping her name with frosting on her cake.
She would be home soon, so you decided to change into something nice.
You were wearing a cute dress that she gave you previously, and you did your hair and makeup.
She would be here in any minute so you went back downstairs, waiting patiently.
She soon entered the house, her eyes widen when she saw the decorated table and kitchen.
"Oh my god..." She smiled, and hung up her jacket, walking towards you.
"Do you like it?" I asked her, smirking.
"I love it! This is amazing, I can't believe you did all of this." She replied.
You giggle softly and kissed her cheek, before leading her to the table, you both took a seat.
"I made all your favorite food, my love." You said, and poured her a glass of wine.
"It all looks so good." She smiled, talking a sip of her wine.
You two dug into the delicious food, having a nice romantic dinner together.
After you two finished, you brought out the cake.
"This is all too much, baby." She said overjoyed with happiness.
You set the cake down and lit the candles.
"Happy birthday to you.." You started singing to her.
When the song was over she made a wish, blowing out the candles.
"What did you wish for?" You asked, giggling. And helped her cut the cake.
"Everybody knows you can't tell!" She responded in a joking way, and you handed her a slice of cake.
"Forgive me." You chucked and took a bite of the cake.
"You really made this the best birthday." She said, kissing you softly.
"I'm so glad you enjoyed it." You whispered, leaning in.
"I did. All thanks to you." She smirked.
