Chapter 3 - The Alliance

I've been pretty good so far after the meltdown with Phyllis, Me and Jim are fine, I have accept that he will never feel the same way for me as I do for him and I mean I can't blame him, I haven't exactly told him how I feel. Its been okay though, Health day was bad because even thou it was my parents death day, Dwight was also doing my head in, so I may have pop off at him a bit, I did end up apologising to him and we both talk and I explain why I was grumpy and surprisingly he understand me and accept my apology which was nice.

I'm sitting at my desk, with the my hair tie in between my teeth, wanting something to do. When I see the water cooler at Dwight desk, he is has been acting strange since got to work and I really need to know what's going on. I'm now in the party planning community and It's so boring, I don't even know why I joined or I know Phyllis made me. I'm copying files, when Dwight approaches me. He tells me that he thinks it would be a good idea if we joined Alliances, because of the downsizing and that we could help each other out. Now the first few days I got here, Jim always said to me that if Dwight after offers me something I have to say these exact three words. As soon as Dwight ask if I wanted to form an Alliance with him, my answer 'Absolutely I do.' I have never been more happy in my enter life. He tells me we need to figure out who is vulnerably and who is protected but he makes it very clear that I can't tell no one.

Dwight walks away from me heading into Michael office, I rush over to Jim at his desk, grabs his ear and pull him into the kitchen. "OW! Let go of my ear." "Don't be a baby, I need to tell you something important. Dwight has just asked me to join him in an Alliance and I can not tell no one." "Please, Please tell me you said my three favourite words?" "Absolutely I did." "OMG! I love you right now" He hugs my so tight and lifts me in the air. My body tenses from the words he speaks and puts my back on the ground kissing my forehead. "Um. Okay, we need a plan do you have one?" "Absolutely I do, we need to get Pam involved thou, It's going to be amazing." I know its horrible but I really didn't want her in on this, but looking at how happy Jim was, I couldn't do that to him, so I nod and we head to Pam to tell her everything and form a plan.

Before we can even form a plan, Dwight calls me over into the kitchen to ask if I told anyone, I need to thing of something quick, so I tell him I'm going to using pam for the alliance as she knows the most information in the office and tell him Jim is always with her so I need to be carefully. I let him know that if us three are talking, It is just me trying to get information from them, without even realising what I am doing.

I smile brightly at the camera in front of me. "I should feel bad for what I'm doing right? I just don't simple as that!" The camera pans out to Jim and Pam sitting either side of me with bright smiles on their faces as well. "I have never done pranks on Dwight before it's always Jim and Y/n, so I'm super excited." "This is the best day of my life, When Y/n told me about it, I knew we had to do something, and the fact that she came up with using Pam. Brilliant! This girl right next to me is actually incredible." I blush and look down at me feet. Jim smiles at the camera. While Pam is looking at Y/n with a slight smirk on her face.

I have spent most of the day with Dwight watching everyone in the office, trying to figure out who is important to us, I catch Jim and Pam either together or watching us, I tell Jim that I'm going to try and make Dwight think Toby and Kevin are forming an alliance together and he tells me its a great idea, so I take Dwight to the car park to plant ideas into his head, he gets so angry he kicks my car and the alarm goes off, I turn around trying hard not laugh and fish my keys out to turn the alarm off, as I look up, I see Jim laughing in the window. It's then I have the best idea. I tell Dwight that we need to assume that everyone in the office is forming their owe alliance and therefore trying to get us kicked out. When I get back inside I head to the kitchen to make a tea, when Jim and Pam approach me, I tell them what I said and Jim and Pam laugh so hard and Jim ends up kissing me on the cheek and leaving me and pam alone. I blushing so hard that I have to turn around while I play with my hair tie trying to get my mind to focus so I can finish making my tea. "You're In love with him right?" "I have no idea what you're talking about?" "Come on Y/n, I can see and I don't think I'm the only one, he clearly doesn't know so why don't you just tell him?" "Pam, I'm not in love with Jim. Okay? So lets stop talking about it." "I never Jim." "What?" "I never said Jim, I said him, you are the one that said Jim." I scoff at her grab my tea and head to my desk ready for phase two.

Pam comes over to me and tells me she keeps hearing all these conversations between Michael and corporate about staff issues. She tells me that he is making her take notes on the meetings and she doesn't want to because we are her friends, she tells me not to tell anyone, from the corner of my eye I can see Dwight pretending not to listen, I tell her I won't tell anyone and we walk away with Jim following us.

"That was beautiful, all Y/n's idea too. Awesome, she's so great." His smiles takes over his face as he looks up at the ceiling.

"Isn't my plan just the best. God, I'm kind of awesome." I giggly to myself, the camera pans out to see Jim at his desk looking into the conference room where y/n is giggly to herself.

Me, Pam and Jim are all sat eating lunch together, trying to figure out what we could do next. I jump out of my seat starling both of them and rush to Dwight leaving them with confused faces, as they see me and Dwight talking next minute we are high-fiving, I look over to them giving them the biggest smile I can muster bring both of thumbs up. I'm not telling them what is happen, it going to be a surprise. Meredith birthday is in full swing when I get there, I grab a plate of cake and head over to reception. Jim and Pam are staring at me with wild eyes. "So what happened, what did you do?" "I may of told him that Pam said that one of the alliance is meeting in the warehouse during Meredith's party, but there was no where to hide. He also may be currently inside a box on the floor by the shelves, taped up with two peep holes, created by yourself truly." I take a small bow as I say this, they both rush down to the warehouse when I notice Kevin standing with us, I offer him my cake and he thanks me and walks away and I head to the bathroom.

I rush into the main office and grab Jim by his shoulders as he is at his desk. "I have come up with something better than the box, I have convinced him to go to Stamford and spy on our other branches. Wait! That's not the best part, I told him before he goes he should dye his hair to go undercover." We both burst out laughing and we are both huddled together rather closely, holding hands while continuing laughing that I'm not even sure when we are going to stop. We don't see how cosy and close we look, but the camera crew sure does.

"I have no words of how this day has gone, I feel like I'm floating on massive of clouds. My plans were brilliant and if Dwight ever offers me something, you know for a fact I'm going to say Absolutely I do." I laugh at the camera while standing up to take my mic off.

"Today is most possible the best day of my life. Y/n's plans were brilliant the fact she got him into a box, then got him to dye his hair. Holy shit. She is an inspiration, she needs like a medal or something. It's like what can't this girl do, She's super funny, Has an amazing singing voice. She is just both pretty and smart." He coughs awkwardly at the camera and laughs to himself, shaking his head while looking down at his feet.

I knock onto Jim's door, he lets my in and I hold up a big bottle of champagne to celebrate our amazing prank on Dwight today, we spend the night drinking and chatting and laughing. We decide that we need to come up with more ways to prank him, Jim brings out his notepad and we start making suggestion bouncing ideas off of each other, he also ask me how its going setting Phyllis up but I'm tell him it's coming along, I really hope she knows how much I love her and how I am so glad that she is in my life. We spend some much time dancing and singer on his karaoke machine that we done realise how late it is, his roommate is out for the night so I'm glad we are not waking people up. Before we even realise it, it's 1am and Jim lets me know that I'm allowed to stay the night as I have done so many times before. I tell him that I'm taking the couch as it's super comfy. He sets it up for and offers me his t-shirt to wear to bed as I didn't think I would be staying. We saying goodnight and as I finally hit the pillow I fall asleep with the biggest smile on my face, one that has not been there in a really long time.
