Peter B is quirky. However because being a silly and kinda weird grown up is so looked down upon, he has learned so well to hide it most people can't tell the serious guy their talking to is completely different. Not untll they get to know him. The closer he gets to someone, the more it becomes glaringly obvious.
Extreme sensitivity to sound, texture issues, touch compulsion, tics, takes a billion years to process things, hyperfixations, hypersensitive, too literal, being a bit 'flat' sometimes, being a bit 'obnoxious' other times, ect. Makes you wonder how he gets around.
Miguel and Miles picked up on it first. But specifically Miguel. It start with the tics. Peter 'meowing' at Miguel randomly, tapping things, doing things with his hands subconsciously, those stood out. And before long it was touching EVERYTHING. No matter how much Miguel stressed Peter be careful he literally had to fight not to touch things. Then, he started running into things he didn't like touching. Poor Miguel asked a question one time and Peter went on for hours. The longer Miguel knew Peter the more his very abnormal behavior became normal. Miguel generally thought MJ just put up with Peter being weird. But, it was eventually clear he wasnt JUST a bit weird. This was definitely a personality thing.
Miguel is very used to this now, even though it was kind of a lot at first. He also has been working on making himself EXTREMELY clear because Peter struggles to understand him sometimes. And if he says to do something, Peter will do it so literally. He has to tell him step by step or Peter will not assume what Miguel wanted.
The same thing happens with Miles. Sometimes Miles feels like he is the adult im the situation. Although he really has no concept of why Peter is weird around him he just knows he is. But he still likes Peter, he just doesn't actually know why hes a little quirky.
MJ also, obviously, knows. She has basically sensory proofed the house too. Peter has had one to many freak outs over a texture or something being out of place, shes ready for anything his quirky throws at her.
