Tears slipped down her rosy cheeks. "I'm sorry,"

"I'm fine." Honestly, I wasn't angry with her.

I could tell she didn't mean to hurt me and that was just in the heat of the moment. I was somehow to blame. I should have been more careful, knowing that she was not in the right frame of mind.

"This is all your fault....Why do you keep doing this to me?" Keep doing means this is not the first time this has happened. "Why can't you love me like I do?"

Her desperate begging had a wave of conflicted emotion inside me.

Part of me blamed Bella for her pain. She chose to be with a cheater even after she knew the truth. But again, the raw emotion in her voice made my heart bleed for her. It's never easy to lose the one you love and if the one you love doesn't care about you. It's a whole new level of heartbreak.

I cannot believe this man is Grace's son.

A man dressed in all black with a weapon in his hand entered the room, getting everyone's attention.

"Capo is here."

"What?" Bella's panic-laced voice came out.

Looking at her, the change in Bella's behavior was so obvious. Now she looked sober and visibly tense, if I'm not mistaken.

"What is he doing here?" She added.

"I had called Donna afraid you would hurt yourself but Capo picked the call," Sana, one of the maids working in the mansion, said.

"Who the fuck told you to call Mom at this time?" Bella's frustrated voice boomed and Sana visibly began to shake.

My head automatically turns to the sound of loud boots stomping in our direction. I saw a man in his fifties come in. He was unrealistically handsome even at his age. His raven hair was sleek and combed to one side. His plump lips were set proudly under a moderately pointed nose. His high cheek, which every woman would envy, and his sharp jaw looked sharper than a knife.

Another thing about him was that he had such confidence and aura, as if he owned the world, and we were all his slaves.

She chewed her lips when the man did not respond to her and she added "I'm sorry dad won't happen again,"

Dad?

He must be Grace's husband. What was his name?... Lego... Leno...Leo... Yes Leo

"Dad please, I won't do it again," Bella sounded close to breaking down.

I wonder why she is so scared. God, what is happening here? Everything seemed so confusing.

The sheik pulled out of Bella as Leo swung his fist and punched Leone in the face, sending him straight to the shiny floor.

How hard did he punch him? Leone's mouth was all bloody.

I could tell that all hell would break loose today. Leone doesn't seem like one who would take a hit and do nothing in return.

Contrary to my intuition, Leone's lips quivered upwards in a mischievous grin the very next second, followed by a laugh that rumbled in his chest. I haven't got the faintest idea why he was laughing. Dead sure he wasn't thrilled after being beaten bloody by his own father.

"I see, still pussy for Marde?"

No one can convince me otherwise that Leone's scornful taunt wasn't meant to push Leo to his limits and it seemed to work perfectly, as Leo seemed even angrier than before, if that was even possible.

The visible veins on Leo's neck had me wanting to touch my neck. Leone, meanwhile, sat there unfazed by his father's ragged figure.

"Dad, please, it won't happen again."

Bella's effort was futile, Leo's gaze still remained fixed on his son, who still had a smug expression on his face, still acting indifferent.

"Mom won't be happy if you hurt Leone," Bella added.

Bella's tactic seemed to work, seeing the hesitation on Leo's face. His angry gaze remained on Leon for a while before he moved to the rude woman he had come with. That idiot had the guts to bite her lip when she saw what had just happened.

Some people have brains in their knees, I swear.

It all happened at lightning speed. Leo plunged a knife which I didn't even realize was in his hand deep in her neck, earning loud pain-filled cries that bounced off the brick wall.

For sometime my mind couldn't register what just happened and when I did...My palm slaps over my mouth in utter fear and disbelief. I was so scared to the point I couldn't cry, scream or run. I had never witnessed anything so gruesome in my life. Never in my life have I seen so much blood and I was trying hard to overcome the feeling of nausea.

"Next time, disturb my moglie at night and I will not be this forgiving," Leo said in a bloodthirsty tone directed to Leone.

This was forgiving?

Leo's dangerously teeming eyes were fixed on the woman who had her hand wrapped around her neck, trying to breathe.

An anxious breeze feeling bubbles in the pit of my stomach thinking about what would happen next.. or might I say who would be the next. Fortunately, he walked away without caring about his brutal act, disappearing from everyone's sight.

A loud sound echoed throughout the room, and the woman dropped to her knees before her whole body fell flat on the floor. She let out a few weak strangled noises before falling into stillness.

Blood gushed from her chest like a waterfall, splashing all over the place.

My confused eyes turned around but what I didn't expect to see was the sight of Leone, whose face shone with satisfaction with his right hand gripping a smoking gun.

OMG, Leone shot her to death.

The realization ignited a new intensity of fear that I never knew was possible to experience. Next I let out a piercing scream. My high-pitched wail drew the attention of Leone, who cast an irritated look at me.

"Shut up....Women are only to shout in bed," Leone says, pointing the gun towards me.

It was enough to drown out the frenzied scream. I don't doubt for a second he will shoot me. Leone was still staring at me with fire in his eyes unblinking, making me shudder while I was trying hard to stand still since my legs felt like jell.

To avoid Leone's intense stare, my eyes involuntarily moved to the other people present in the room. They looked completely normal, like they hadn't just witnessed a murder and it was a normal thing for them.

Not a trace of concern, panic or sympathy in their faces while my body was quivering like a leaf, my lungs burned and I gasped for air. I had an anxiety attack.

Bella seemed to notice my condition and walked over to me and placed her hand on my back, slightly rubbing it.

"It'll be fine," she spluttered, trying to reassure me, but I wasn't having it and I slapped her hand away like it was some kind of illness.

Distraught, I hurriedly left from there without caring about anything. I am never going to step here again. Hell with Castillo's and their job.
