After I blinked in a daze for a few seconds, my unclear vision became distinct, making me able to clearly see the person standing in front of me.All I could think about was how ethereally gorgeous she was, especially her blue eyes that resembled the deep ocean.
She was not only attractive in appearance, but also exuded a positive and pure aura. Although I just had to share a word with her, I can say that she has an amiable personality. At least I had the impression of her.
"You must be, Moon," she claims with a smile. Her tone is velvety, similar to her aura.
I was a little taken by the fact she knew my name.
"Who are you?" Ignoring her question, I probed my own.
Inadvertently, my tone came out harsh, and I regretted it. I was sure that I had offended this beautiful woman. I was about to apologize for my behavior, but she took me by surprise by smiling at me.
"It's okay I know you are stressed," She assured me, already understanding what I was about to say.
"You can call me Grace... Your mother works for me and I was the one who found her unconscious and brought her here," she introduced herself with a smile still on her face.
"Thank you for looking after my mother," I sincerely thanked her.
Don't know what would have happened if Grace had not found her or bothered to bring mother to the hospital. The fact that she returned to visit her mother suggests that she is a generous soul. In general, rich people have little regard for their employees.
Yes, I might sound judgmental, but I am speaking from my own experience.
"Don't mention it," she said graciously.
"Rose talks about you a lot," she added, after a short, awkward pause.
Her words had me smile and I replied, "I hope they are good,"
She giggled briefly "They are,"
My eyes dragged towards her and I cannot help but envy how well dressed and breathtaking she was. Another thing clicked me. She was standing all along when I was sitting shamelessly without offering her seat.
"Omg, where are my manners? Let me get you a seat," My words came out hurriedly.
I was about to stand and offer her my seat but she
"It's okay, I got it."
She heedfully, trying not to make a sound, pulled up a chair next to me and plopped down on it. Worst luck, it made a scraping noise, and as I mentioned, my mother is a very light sleeper.
After a few seconds, the mother's moan came out. Dragging my eyes in her direction only to find her opening her eyes at exactly the right time.
When mother became aware of Grace's presence, she immediately tried to sit up in bed. Of course, because of her feeble state, she could hardly move, much less sit up. So I got up and helped her, then sat on the edge of the bed next to her.
"Ma'am," Mother said in acknowledgment.
"How many times do I have to tell you to call me Grace," Although Grace's voice was firm, there was a softness in her blue eyes.
I can assuredly say that Grace cherished mother, and I was pleased to know that at least she works for courteous people, unlike me, who had to endure Patrick's assaults every day.
God Moon, now is not the time to think about him.
"I'll get back as soon as I can."
I was about to give mother a piece of my mind but Grace beat me to it.
