(Chris's pov)

We sat in the living room as we explained what happened to our family. They couldn't believe it but neither could I.

"Are you sure it was her?" Marylou sobbed as we nodded our heads. "We have to call the police," Dad said sternly, standing up determined to get his daughter back.

I couldn't get her out of my head as we waited for the cops to arrive. She had grown so much... but I was able to see my little sister in her. It's weird to explain but I just could.

She was beautiful.

No surprise there she always was.

She just matured a lot. Sadly, we couldn't watch her grow up just because someone took that away from us.

My whole family waited silently for the officers to arrive. Justin hasn't said anything he just stared into space. I was worried, extremely worried not just about him but about everyone.

Everything was about to change...

All six of us shot up from the sofa when we heard knocking, we rushed to the door opening it to reveal 2 police officers.

Jimmy let them inside and they immediately started questioning us.

"So... how do you know it was your sister that you saw?" A woman asked, "She looked exactly like Mavis just 9 years older, she had our brown hair, the same birthmark on her neck, and a necklace with our initials engraved on it." Nick spoke and the cop nodded taking some notes.

It took like two hours of questioning and some other shit but finally, we were told that they located the hotel Mavis's school was staying at and they're gonna check it out and talk to her.

"We can't promise anything tho. We don't know if it's her until we do a DNA test so don't get your hopes up." One of the officers spoke leaving but it was already too late for that. I had my hopes up, very high.

This whole thing was a serious matter, with potential kidnapping, and many other illegal stuff. We were told to be patient.

Easy to say but hard to do...

(Mavis's pov)

"How about we talk outside for a little?" The other police officer suggested. I tried to read her face but it was too serious and that terrified me.

This can't be good. Okay, just calm down it's gonna be fine you look good in orange...

I looked behind me at my roommates. They were whispering amongst themselves while looking at me. Only Holly gave me a worried look.

"I'm really sorry but I don't understand what's going on. Did I do something?" I'm fucking panicking my voice is shaking because I don't know what's this all about.

"Calm down sweetheart. It's alright, we just have to ask you a few questions?" The lady spoke softly seeing that I was stressed. "Don't worry." She placed a hand on my back leading me to the teacher's room. I guess that's the most private place in this building.
