II Y/n's POV II
You felt your heart rate increase as the workday drew to a close. It had been a long and unsettling day since Jimin had started working in the office.
There was something about him that made you feel uneasy, but you couldn't quite identify what it was. As the day went on, things only seemed to get stranger.
You were thinking the way he talked to you in the office which seems to be completely normal, but there was a hint of something mysterious in his voice as if he know you from a very long time.
You were hoping that it shouldn't be something related to your past.
The past you can't forget, the past from which you ran away, the past that scares you to the death till the now.
As you found yourself struggling to shake off your worries, you decided to focus on your work and bury yourself in it. You sar down at your desk and began sifting through your documents, trying to keep your mind from wandering.
Just as you reached for a file, your gaze fell on a small, beautifully adorned box tucked away in your desk drawer.
''What is this?!'' you said as confusion overtook your mind. You couldn't remember where it came from or what it contained.
The wrapping paper was intricately patterned with gold and silver accents, and a delicate bow tied it all together. Curiosity piqued, you took out the box in your hands.
''Is it of Lia?'' you questioned turning it over in your hands, examining it from every angle, hoping for some clue as to its origin.
''But if it was hers then she would've have told me, why will she keep it inside my drawer?'' you said trying to figure out whom it belongs to.
'Did I purchased it and simply forget about it later?'
The thought seemed unlikely, given your current state of mind. You were usually quite meticulous about keeping track of your purchases so it was definitely not the thing that might have happened.
As you continued to scrutinize the box, you couldn't help but wonder what could be inside. Was it something valuable or simply a trinket? The uncertainty only added to your confusion, leaving you feeling uneasy and unsettled.
''Fuck it! I'm going to open this now.'' you said deciding to open this mysterious box.
II Author's POV II
Y/n untied the ribbon and removed the lid, she couldn't help but feel a sense of foreboding. Inside the box lay a delicate silver bracelet, its polished surface glittering under the unforgiving office lights.
While anyone else would have been touched or surprised by the unexpected gift, Y/n's heart raced with unease. She couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong, that the bracelet was a harbinger of something ominous to come.
