Tommy gasped and sobbed, his legs taking him as fast as he could. His blonde hair was damp with sweat and the lower part of his face was covered in a mixture of his sweat and his tears. The creaking of the thing behind him just made him run as fast as he possibly could.
Soon after, he heard a noise from the ceiling almost made him stop before a pair of hands reached out and gripped his shoulders. He was yanked up and it felt like whiplash. "What the fu-" A finger was pressed against his mouth, basically telling him to be quiet. Tommy was about to make a yell of annoyance before the clicking of a lighter made his shout of protest die in his throat. A small flame could be seen and Tommy finally saw the face of that who had (basically saved him but he doesn't see it as that) kidnapped him. Their eyes were green on one side and red on the other. Black and white (but most white) hair helped to frame their face. The clothing style wasn't one he would have expected. A white button up and black slacks could be seen. A shoulder bag was in their lap aswell.
But, Tommy didn't notice that even in the dark, their eyes glowed softly and their ears were to a point.
"Don't speak…" They said, their voice smooth and quiet. Tommy didn't speak, he wanted to, but he just couldn't. Their eyes glared into his ocean blue ones with a look of challenge. It was as if they were saying if that he were to speak, they would throw him back into the maze of monotone yellow and damped carpet. Finally, after a moment or two of not speaking, the person spoke. "We're gonna get out of here. You with me?" Their voices was in a whisper still and Tommy just nodded. They smiled before beginning to crawl on the plates that covered the ceiling. Tommy had to follow behind, as he had no idea where he even was.
The two crawled for a while, and Tommy was getting tired of seeing someone's (quack!) in his face. The person stopped and Tommy collided with them. A small squeak left their mouth and the tile that kept them up fell to the floor with a deafening thud. They looked towards eachother before the person fell through the ceiling. Tommy yelped as they pulled him down with them.
"What the (quack)!? What was that for-" He screamed at them before his screams died. They were standing near a staircase, the top of it couldn't be seen at all. It was shrouded in shadows. Tommy looked at the person, before saying, "What's that…" His voice quivered slightly, his eyes wide. "That's.." They said, turning around. "Is our way out of this level. Grab my arm." They said, holing their arm out. Tommy gingerly took their hand, keeping close. They chuckled before walking towards the stairs.
Tommy had now realized that he didn't know this person, not even their name, and he's trusting them with his life. "Hold on." He said, stopping and letting go. The person looked towards him, tilting their head. "Who even are you? I don't even know your name." He said, a frown settling onto his lips. The person did the same, before sighing. "Alex. My name is Alex. How about you, mysterious boy?" Alex said, crossing their arms. "Tommy." Alex smiled before saying, "Good to finally get your name, Tommy. Now, let's get going unless you want the ###### to come and get you." Tommy's eyes slightly widened as confusion ran through his mind. 'What did she say?' Tommy slightly brushed it off but kept the fear that loomed over him present. He wasn't about to put his guard down.
Not yet.
The two walked in the dark staircase, the quietness leaving Tommy uneased. He didn't like the quiet. Anything could happen to him. The quiet suffocated him, so, he began to breath a bit more faster in pace.
The two finally made it to this little wall, a mixture between the yellow of before and a gray. It was a brick wall aswell. "You ready?" Alex asked, looking at him. Tommy nodded, before wondering what Alex meant. "What do you-" He said before Alex gripped his wrist and ran into the wall. Tommy screamed out, expecting the wall to break his nose. But the feeling of jello surprised him, then something oily passed over him.
