Paul came down with a towel in hand drying his hair, a plain grey t-shirt and some pyjama pants.
"So you wanna go on a date tomorrow?" He asked as he approached my seat. I had in my bowl cereal and a spoonful in my mouth which went flying by the way.
"Huh?" I asked as I cleared myself of the debris of cereal I spat out.
"So that's a yes?" He asked as he say next to me. I looked at him like he was crazy, because honestly he was.
"Where did that come from?" I asked him.
"I'll tell you after the wedding." He said as he stood again and went towards the kitchen.
He came back with a muffin in one hand and what seemed to be an ice cream bowl.
"So as I was saying today, you're going to transfer and get the school as a betrothal gift." Paul stated as he dipped the muffin into the bowl, which had ice cream in it.
"What are you doing?" I asked confused at the actions of my future husband.
"This?" He said holding the ice cream covered muffin up.
"Yes?"
"It tastes better this way." He said as he brought it to his mouth and ate a portion of the muffin, his lips covered in ice cream. He licked them in a seductive way, and I glared at him.
"You're doing that on purpose right?" I asked pointing out the fact that he was bluntly seducing me.
"I don't know what you mean?" He stated innocently like it wasn't obvious.
"Mxcm." I dismissed him and continued chowing my cereal.
We sat in silence after that, because I was thinking of what he said. If he's telling the truth, I'd be owning a school, have a monthly allowance and this big ass house.
"So where are we going on our date?" I broke the silence, I mean I might as well know where we're going so that I dress the part.
"It's a surprise. As for the clothes, just dress in something comfortable." He said, of course it's a surprise, who am I kidding.
"I really don't like you." I grunted annoyed.
"You'll get used to it, because I ain't going nowhere baby." He said finishing off his second muffin, which I don't get where he got it from since he came in here with only one muffin.
"You're irritating."
"I saw your invitations the other day, and I realized you didn't invite anyone except your mother." Paul stated and that got my attention, because I did only invite my mother, but why is he bringing it up today.
"I don't have friends and my mother's my only relative. I don't need to invite her relatives, they haven't helped my mother at all and I have no reason to try and get buddy with them." I stated to him, he should obviously know this by now, he does background checks and everything doesn't he?
"Oh, that's sad. Why?" He asked
"Why don't you have friends I mean?" He corrected himself as he saw that I was confused with his question.
"Oh, I was betrayed by one in high school, ever since then I've never want anyone near me in that sense again." I stated lowly as the memory resurfaced and my whole mood became gloomy.
"I'm sure you'll make more friends in the future, you still have three years of school left." He stated as he held my hand in his, you'd wonder when he got from his initial sit to mine and hoe I didn't notice him moving.
"I doubt that, but life is unpredictable yeah." I said as I squeezed his hand and looked at him with a smile that reached my eyes.
"It indeed is." He said as he brought my hand to his lips and left a small kiss there.
