CHAPTER ONE | YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE SIX FEET UNDER, ERIK

Erik, she's a she-devil.

Date: November 2016

FYI: On June 16, 2016, Lesedi gave birth to quadruplets, two sons: Ledisi and N'Jakari, and two daughters, Leisha and N'Jada.

"Girl, I'm telling you, I will beat the fuck out of Nicole," Lesedi said, as they got out of the elevator of the enclosed parking garage of their company's building.

Adesua shook her head.

"You just have to be patient with her, Lese," Adesua said.

"I don't know how you deal with her. She stays talking in terms and conditions," Lesedi said as they carried the quadruplets and their bags to Lesedi's silver Cadillac Escalade.

The Royal Talon Fighter lands in the parking lot, causing Lesedi and Adesua to look at the aircraft.

There was a curious look on Lesedi's face, but that look quickly faded when the ramp lowered and Erik walked apprehensively walked down the ramp. His eyes swept over the entire parking lot, before walking towards Lesedi.

"I know you fucking lying, I thought he was dead," Adesua said with a frown.

"I thought so too," Lesedi said, focusing on making sure that Erik couldn't see the babies. "We need to get out of here," She added.

Adesua nods in agreement.

"N'Jadaka, wait up," T'Challa said as he exited the Royal Talon Fighter with Okoye and Ayo following him.

Erik ignored his cousin and lightly jogged over to the car. "Hey, baby girl," Erik said as he tries to get closer to Lesedi but Adesua blocks him.

"Hey, Erik, aren't you supposed to be dead?" Adesua asked him with her arms crossed over her chest.

"Hey, Adesua, and no...well, I was dead for a little bit but things happened and I'm here now," Erik said, looking at Lesedi who wouldn't acknowledge him. "Lesedi," Erik said, trying to get her attention.

Lesedi remained silent and focuses on how she was going to get the fuck out of there with her kids without Erik seeing them.

"Lesedi, you don't hear me calling your name?" Erik asked her, once again trying to step around Adesua to get to Lesedi but Adesua stood her ground.

"Back up, Erik," Adesua warned him.

T'Challa walked over and introduced himself. Erik catches Lesedi's eye and winks at her. He chuckles to himself when he sees her bite back a smile and roll her eyes.

"We do not care," Adesua said.

T'Challa frowned.

"You must be Adesua," T'Challa said to Adesua.

Adesua rolled her eyes.

"Of course, now why are y'all here bothering us?" Adesua asked T'Challa.

"Do not speak to the king that way," Okoye said.

"This is America, I can speak however I want you bald-headed scallywag," Adesua said.

Lesedi chuckled to herself as she finished placing the quadruplets in their car seats and locked the car, knowing she had to face Erik before Adesua causes trouble. Lesedi stood next to Adesua and smiled at the four people before looking at her nails.

"You're supposed to be dead, Erik or should I say Prince N'Jadaka," Lesedi said.

Erik ran a hand over his face.
