Historia Grant was born and raised Capital, but that never changed her views on how poorly her home treated others around it. Always saddened on July Forth seeing district children get reaped each year to be send off to their death. All but one at least. She never took part in the viewings, only the reapings since she was forced to go each year. But the tenth hunger games changed that all. When Historia was assigned the district nine female to mentor for her last assignment.
Delta Sterling grew up in the wheat fields of district nine. Working or not, she always found herself in them, feeling a sort of protection. But the wheat fields couldn't have protect her from getting reaped for the hunger games, basically death. In the past nine years of the games no one from nine has ever returned. So it lead to Delta believing this would be a death sentence. Stumbling into the Capital she was soon met with hope of getting back to those wheat fields again, that hope being in the form of Historia Grant.
