Nicholo find himself browsing at Sapphire's Facebook account that night.
He can't help but sigh looking at their old pictures together with Kaila. Her smile is so genuine that made her face even more angelic. And that's what captured his heart. Yes, he loves Sapphire not just as a friend. But he is afraid that his love for her would spoil their friendship, thats the reason why he tried his best to keep it secret.
He keep on browsing 'til he saw their picture together where he's wearing a black toxedo and Sapphire and Mikaela on their ball gown.
That was taken at their prom night during their junior year. He could still remember how happy they are by that time. Sapp and Kaila are both his date that night. Its funny how he managed to take both of them to the dance floor just to make sure that he will be the first dance of his two best friend. And that was also the time where he became the Prom King and Patricia as the Prom Queen, which brought them together in the first place.
After one hour of browsing, he finally give up. He turn off his laptop and lay. Its been a week since she start ignoring them.
"I really miss the old Sapphire!" he thought.
That night he made up his mind. He dialed someones number. After a couple of rings someone answered.
"Hey! Whats up? How's my baby boy doing?"
"Errr!!! I'm a big boy now, stop calling me baby!" he pout.
"Well,well,well! Look who's pretending?" and Nicholo heard her soft laugh.
"Chesca???" he growled.
"Okay! Sorry,I just missed teasing you. Common spill it out."
"I think we need your help." he said.
"Help? With what?"
"You mean with who." he's determined now. "Its Sapp! We need your help, I mean Kaila and I." he can't help but sound so sad.
"Why? Did the three of you fought? I told you, I don't want you messing up with your friendship! You know that it can break your heart! Common Nicks I even asked you to watch over the girls right? And look what happened? Are you doing your part? Now tell me, how can you convinced me that your a big boy if you don't ev--..."
"Hey! Chesca enough listen to me first!" he finally found his voice to cut what she's going to say.
"What now?" Chesca disgustingly said.
"First of all, BRAVO!!! That was an earful preach! I miss you doing that!" he said with a small laugh.
"I bet you really did!" he could sense that she's grinning.
"Okay its not my fault! Sapp, is just acting stranged lately, she's even ignoring us this past three days at school. We don't have an idea what's the reason behind that's why we are worried."
"Hmm.." she answered."Don't worry I'll talk to her. By now I have to go."
"I am going to talk to her earnestly. I need to know what's going on."

It was Friday afternoon. Sapphire is on her way out from her last subject. Just like the past week she tried her best to avoid Nicholo and Mikaela. Good thing Marco is always there to keep her company. Honestly, Sapp really enjoyed being with him. He's a nice guy plus a handsome one that her classmates envy her. Not her fault anyway coz Marco chose to be with her.
She's making her way out of their school when she notice Nicholo's , she could clearly see Patricia and Mikaela inside and they're about to leave. She hide herself and watch them.
"So that's it they're leaving without asking me to ride with them!" she couldn't help but think that maybe they got tired on chasing her. Somehow it still hurts. "I'm their bestfriend!" her thought making cry.
When they're gone she started to walk again. She's determined to walk home.
"Sapp!" she heard someone calling her name.
She look around and find out that its Marco.
"Hey!" she smiled.
"Going home now?"
"Yup!"
"Wanna hop in?"
Sapp look at the car behind him. Its a convertible BMW.
"Rich kid!" she thought. Though Nicholo got the same kind of car, she became curious so she decided to forget her walking marathon.
"Okay, I'll go with you." she nodded.
At first couple of minutes they rode in silence, the Marco broke it by asking;
"How are your friends?"
"H-huh?"
"I mean Nicholo and Mikaela? Don't you have plans talking to them? You know, to clarify things, I mean they don't have an idea why you're avoiding them. It seems like you left them a giant puzzle to solve." he said glancing at her at the same time. Being with him lately she was able to share her troubles.
Again, silence filled them. Sapphire didn't know how to answer Marco's question so she keep her mouth shut until they reach her home. Although deep inside, she knows that he has a point.
"Thanks for the ride Marco! Do you wanna come in and have some coffee?" she offered.
"I love to but I'll be meeting my mom tonight so I guess next time." he replied.
"I see! Okay, next time." and she smiled at him.
"I'll be going now. Have a happy weekend Sapp and see you on Monday!"
"Same here!" and she waved at him.
When she was about to enter their house, she notice a new car in their garage.
"Whose Lamborghini is that?" she thought. "Maybe Dad has a guest tonight!"
She went in and wonder why it's so quiet.
"If Dad has a guest then what's with silence?" then remember, her Dad is in Brazil for a business trip.
She heard somebody's talking at the patio so she take peek. There she saw her Mom, her two younger brothers Gerald and Lance sitting and having a happy conversation.
"Ahemm!!!" she fake a cough to catch their attention.
They automatically look at her direction.
"Sapp! Oh! You're here. Come here join us!" her Mom called her.
She walk toward them smiling.
"Mom, whose car is---?" she was about to ask when all of the sudden the half door of their patio open widely and...
"Viola!!!!" someone shouted and something exploded that made her stratled and screamed to death.
