To his surprise, Adrian Blackthorn emerged from the shadows, swiftly dealing with the assailants. Before Lucas could comprehend the situation, he felt himself being carried in Adrian's arms. Fatigue and pain overcame him, and he collapsed into a deep sleep.

When Lucas woke up, he found himself in a hospital bed, the sterile environment contrasting with the shadows of his recent encounter.
