DDLC Corp, one of the fanciest companies located in Massachusetts. And now, today, October 3rd of 2016. Today, Scarlett Addams will go inside, do her job, and come out as a winner. Or well that was supposed to be the plan.
As I stepped inside of the building I felt my heart ache due to this new experience I will have. It's been a long time since I've had this feeling before, I felt like I was about to throw up, but I had to get things done, I wanted to change my life. A new job will bring new opportunities.
While I was trying to get the right directions to the main elevator, I eventually gave up asking for help that wouldn't be given no one would give, so I decided to start looking for the stairs. I didn't want to waste more time searching for something that looked like it might not even be there, but then jokes on me, looks like the building didn't have any.
As I ran across the corridor out of the sudden I bumped into a young little girl, she seemed like a daughter of one of the workers .Obviously I didn't wanted to get involved with her, so I decide to just apologized and get away from the situation, yet the girl started asking the reason of my presence in the building arguing I didn't belonged here. I got pretty annoyed and wanted to immediately leave, but personally I'm not the kind of person who would just shrug off someone. As nicely as possible asked her if she could tell me where the elevator was, her only answer was pointing out at the end of the hall. I thanked her and made my way, meanwhile I started to think about the previous conversation and got a strange feeling of deja vú, which I highly hate, but if someone asked me to describe it I wouldn't be able to do it. Despite all of this, I knew I had to focus on my goal, be the best at the internship, and arriving late wouldn't be an option.
As I walked down the corridor, the wall started to feel more familiar which made me feel a little uneasy but it was probably the stress. Lately I've been having a lot of headaches but constantly I just start doing a random activity and forget about them.
While I was touring the rooms, I started to feel sore, like if I had been walking for ages, but according to the time on my watch it had only passed a few minutes. I continued the path and started appreciating the art of the walls, and realized the building was quite modern and minimalist, it didn't have a lot of paintings and the ones that were hanged were a bit blurry which made them, you could say, unique. Also there were a lot of light yellow doors that lead to different rooms, some of them were open and most of them were dirty, old, empty and with that awful warm light that pierced through your eyes. The floor had a gray rug that seemed impeccable. I was surprised by the fact that it looked like no one had ever stepped on it before, so obviously I was panicked to mess it up.
After walking for a long time (like 5 minutes) I finally reached the elevator, you could say it was pretty plain but matched the aesthetic. I got in and pressed the button of the floor I was going to, I patiently waited until I noticed that the elevator had passed the floor and continued on its way to the top. Of course I got mad, this meant that I had to waste more time than the expected and I wouldn't be able to analyze the environment calmly.
I wanted to check if I could find the reason why the elevator didn't stop, thinking that the most reasonable explanation was that it was malfunctioning, but then I saw the button at the top of the panel lighting, which meant that someone clicked it on. My thoughts began to spin around me, being the only one inside the small cube alarmed me. But I try as hard as possible to not let my paranoiac side out. Maybe I just accidentally pressed the wrong button.
