It's complicated

Chapter 5

Mikes pov:

I think I'm starting to develop feelings for Rorisang, I think love is a bit of an aggressive word for it but I absolutely do like her. Besides being a freak in the sheets , she is also very sweet and loving, I remember how much I enjoyed the food she made for my sister and I. I got a little bit of money now so I want to take her out on a proper date now, no jokes, no sillyness, just a sweet nice date, one where she can tell her friends with confidence that I took her out. I call my friend Nathan to ask him for advice, he lives near by so I am just calling him so we can meet up.

I meet Nathan by the park near by my place. We greet each other and make small  talk for a bit

_Dialogue_

Mike: Bro remember that hun I told you about?

Nathan: Which one, the sneaky link, what about her?

Mike: I think I like her. Might just ask her to be my girl...

Nathan: no ways you actually f*ck with her like that. She's not girlfriend material dude

Mike: What is that supposed to mean

Nathan: that girl in a walking red flag, she literally just had another boyfriend then she started sleeping with you. Which girlfriend material has a sneaky link. Was she even a virgin when you first met her or she's been doing this for a while, just sleeping with random guys.

Mike: I'm not any random guy Nathan, and no she wasn't a virgin but she was pretty unexperinced , I'm sure she has only had sex a few times before she started with me...

Nathan: Don't try to cover for her. I fell like she is a hoe...Can you even do stuff with her or go out without having to have sex or is that all she wants?

Mike: Well... we haven't had a time where we met up in private and we didn't hook up but that's just a coincidence.

Nathan: Listen dawg don't loose focus, this girl is just someone to have fun with, she's not someone you wanna get serious with and make your girlfriend.

Mike; I think your judgement of her is wrong. I want to take her on a date next week when we close, Ill take her to the movies then we will go to a restaurant for supper. I'll tell her before hand that I don't want to do the deed then we will see how she reacts to my proposal, that reaction should show you the type of person she is. You will see how wrong you have been about her.

Nathan: We will have to see about that.

I pull out my phone and call her. She picks up on the phone on the first ring. I put her on speaker. She greets excitedly. I tell her about the date, and she responds exactly how I thought she would. "I'd love to go out on a date with you Mike, you don't even have to ask twice." I smile hearing this from her and Nathan pulls a face. I tell her that I'll call her late, I just wanted to hear if she would be willing to go out with me. 

Nathan advices that I should only tell her about the not doing the deed in person to see her raw reaction, or I should at least wait for a later stage to tell her. I know it wont be a problem so i just agree to what he says..

_Monday_

I enter my biology class, we are supposed to be having extra class since the term is coming to an end and we in the midst of writing exams but the teacher for one reason or another is not in class. I see Rorisang's friends Gathered in a circle only two people in Rorisang's friend group aren't in this biology class. amongst those two, is Rori herself. I sit in my seat and within a few minutes I'm surrounded by the four friends. Rorisang's bestie is leading the pack. She greets me with a nervous smile. "Mike can I sit? " There is an empty seat next to me so I nod my head. We are in a lab so the desks are those large lab desks with high stools as chairs. "So are you good?" one of them asks, "I'm fine, what's up?" I respond. She giggles and looks at Rori's bestie next to me. I think her name is Mandisa, she clears her throat, "Soooo Mike , I was wondering if you have a date to prom, if you don't, I... I...I would really like to be the one you take." she stutters the last part. Confusion flushes over me, doesn't she know about me and Rorisang, I mean she must have told her best friend about me right?
