Vadrios sat at the council table for the new meeting, as he was now the Emperor this was now o e of his many new responsibilities. Tapping his fingers against the table Vadrios looked up to his councilors.

Vadrios:
What is the realm's status?

As soon as he said that his main councilor, Orson stood up and read from a scroll.

Orson:
Well reports say crime has been up and there is a slight food shortage in some of the cities. Additionally you have the trial of Myvan Comnos by the day's end.

Vadrios tapped his fingers against the table top and processed the situations. The emperor looked up and rode from his seat.

Vadrios:
I see, reinforce guards around the areas with risen crime, while at it send a report for the cities to share food with one another. I will address the trial of Myvan at sunset.

Orson:
Yes, your highness.

Vadrios:
Council dismissed.

As soon as he said that the council members all left the room. Vadrios sat back down and looked at the floor, he could only think of his father and how he had just taken the crown. The door opened and Rhagaea entered the room.

Vadrios:
Hello, Mother.

Rhagaea:
Vadrios, something is troubling you.

Vadrios looked down and played with his fingers, he tried to keep this from his mother but of course she could not be fooled.

Rhagaea:
It's about your father, isn't it?

Vadrios:
He just died, it all happened so fast. So times I don't know what to do.

Rhagaea sat down beside Vadrios and put her hand on his shoulder. Vadrios then looked up sadly towards the Empress Mother.

Rhagaea:
Vadrios, you knew what taking the throne meant, and in the past days you have done well as the emperor. I am sure your father would be very proud.

Vadrios knew his mother's words were true and made him feel slightly better. A guard then entered the room and gave a respectful bow.

Guard:
My lord, Princess Sora returns from Aserai with a message.

Vadrios:
She has returned? Send her here.

Guard:
Yes, your grace.

Vadrios stood up and walked towards about do the council room. He made his way through the palace until finally arriving at the entrance where he Sora entered with a scroll in hand. The two stood against before walking forward and embracing one another. Having not seen her for many weeks, Vadrios was relieved by his sister's return. Sora meanwhile was just as happy to see her brother again. The two separated and looked to each other. Rhagaea then showed and she also embraced her daughter. This was short before the two also separated.

Vadrios:
You've returned, Sora?

Sora:
Yes, and more than that, the Aserai have excepted out alliance.
