Quyaz: Aserai

Sora and Jawwal stood at the entrance of the city of Quyaz. Galdores said as buried in the sands with his sword on his chest. A stick was placed in the shape of a cross directly above his body. Sora bent down and placed her hand on the ground.

Sora:
Goodbye Galdores, you have served me and the Calradian Empire well. Now, may you rest in peace in heaven.

Sora rose to her feet and looked down at where Galdores had been buried, the man had served the empire for many years and now he died. Sora turned to Jawwal.

Sora:
We have to find the assassin and make him pay. He was bleeding, all we have to do is follow the spilled blood and we'll find him.

They then look to see a trail of dried blood in the sand.

Jawwal:
It looks like the blood is leading towards Sanala.

Sora:
Good. We can talk to your father and make that scum pay! Come on!

Sora and Jawwal then mount their horses and ride away from Quyaz. They then begin to right away following the trail of blood. Within very few hours they had arrived to where the blood seemed to end.

Sora:
Grr, the trail just ends!? Gah! How are we supposed to find him now?

Jawwal:
Well it looks like he went to Sanala. It's not far from here.

Sora:
Well then lead the way.

Jawwal took the lead and rode his horse in one direction, Sora came after him and followed to where the assassin must have gone. Eventually they arrived at a large city that only could have been Sanala. They rode up to the entrance to the city where the guards walked to the front and looked down at them.

Guard:
State your purpose!

Jawwal:
It is I, Prince Jawwal, son of the Sultan. I'm here on official business.

Guard:
I am so sorry, my Prince. Open the gate!

The gate opened and Jawwal and Sora rode their horses into the massive desert city. All around were various merchants trading their goods to the Aserai citizens. Sora's mind was focused on one thing, finding the assassin and avenging Galdores.

Sora:
Alright where could an assassin hide around here?

Jawwal:
Patience Sora, remember why you came to Aserai in the first place.

Sora:
I know but....

Jawwal:
We will find the man, I promise. But it will be better if we speak to my father first.

Sora:
Okay, your right let's go.

Jawwal led Sora as they rode their horses towards the palace. They arrived at the palace steps and dismounted their horses and walked up the sandstone steps. The guards stand aside as the door opens and a woman in a fine orange dress with a yellow sari and the same traits as Jawwal stepped out.

???:
Ah hello their dear brother. I'm surprised to see you here. You've been gone so long I thought you'd died.

Jawwal:
Enough of this nonsense, Jinda, we're here to speak with father.

Jinda:
We'll come inside if you want but you should know how old father has grown.

Jinda turned her back and walked through the massive doors. Sora and Jawwal then both followed her into the palace. They arrived at the throne room to find a very old man on the throne, he had the same features as Jawwal and Jinda but was much older with a thick white beard. He wore an ivory robe with a jade brooch and matching turban. In his hand was a cane with the head of a cobra on the top.

Jawwal:
Father.

Merab:
Jawwal? It is so good to see you again, my son.

Jawwal:
Father, this is Princess Sora Nebranos of the Calradian Empire, she brings a message from Emperor Drosios.

Merab:
May I here it?

Sora then steps up, taking in a heavy breath as she takes the center of the throne room.

Sora:
Sultan Merab, we have a reason to believe that Balcodor is returning. We don't know how long we can hold but we must prepare. With the Empire fighting along side the Aserai I know we can defeat him.

Jinda:
This is nonsense! If Balcodor was returning we would know about it! Father, you should know that we should not fight with the empire!

Merab holds up one hand, silencing his daughter effectively. The old sultan then slowly rose from his throne, attempting to hold up on his cane.

Merab:
I hear your words, Princess Sora. I will consider your offer and see if ymwhat you offer me is worth the cause.

The sultan limps out of the throne room and into a random door. All other then leave, with Sora only hoping she would not fail.
