THE QUIDDITCH MATCH BETWEEN GRYFFINDOR AND SLYTHERIN WAS PAINFUL IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE. Between Slytherin's superior brooms, Oliver Wood being knocked to the ground and a rouge bludger following Harry around the entire match; it's a wonder Harry caught the snitch at all. But this victory did come at a price.

The Gryffindor Quidditch Team, Hermione, Ron and I stood around Harry as he lay in his hospital bed. A stray bludger broke his arm at the end of the match, but that wasn't what put him in the infirmary. Lockheart had tried to repair it, but his attempted spell had instead left Harry with no bones in his right arm.

"Should've been brought straight to me." Madame Pomfrey fussed, setting a glass down on Harry's bedside table. "I can mend bones in a heartbeat, but growing them back..."

"You will be able to, won't you?" Hermione asked her with worry.

"Oh, I'll be able to, certainly. But it'll be painful." I shot Harry a sympathetic look as she poured a potion into a glass, "You're in for a rough night, Potter. Regrowing bones is a nasty business." She handed the glass to him. Harry took a sip and immediately retched. "Well, what do you expect, pumpkin juice?"

Madame Pomfrey began ushering people out of the room, insisting Harry needed to rest. Everyone began to file out begrudgingly.

"You go on." I called to Hermione and Ron. "I'll catch up." They nodded and I turned to Harry, "I'm sorry about all this. I don't even know how Lockheart is a teacher here. Man's as thick as a plank."

Harry laughed, "Well, at least we won, and I can rub it all up in Malfoy's face."

We both giggled at this, "Good. It'll serve him right." I paused, "I better get going though. Dinner will be soon. See you tomorrow?"

"Yeah. Good night, Margaret." He called as I walked out the door.

"'Night Harry."

AFTER EVERYONE WAS ASLEEP, I STAYED UP IN THE COMMON ROOM FINISHING MY POTIONS HOMEWORK. Snape had assigned us to write an essay on the various medicinal purposes on a potion we were studying. It was due in the next few days, and I had barely even finished the first paragraph. Between the soft chair I was sitting in, the warm glow of the fire and the dry subject matter I was writing about, it was no wonder my eyes began to droop. I had almost fallen asleep completely when I was jolted awake by a strange voice.
