"Y/n, you're late again, the meeting is already over, it didn't last long. Where were you?", the muscular brown haired man in a red uniform questioned while approaching you.
"I overslept." you sighed and sat on the bar chair in the cafeteria.
"You look like you didn't sleep at all." he pointed out and sat on the chair next to your's. He was right, you looked awful, you barley kept your eyelids up. Your headache was incredibly painful and unrelenting, the body was almost numb and all the energy left in you was completely drained. You couldn't focus on anything. Completely lost. Eyes that are like the unsettlingly deep tunnel of pure emptiness stared into nothingness in front of you. Every single fiber of your body was bleeding without the blood. Painful.

Sigh.

"Black tea.",
"Soya sauce latte", the two of you ordered your drinks just after the barista asked for them.
"Soya sauce latte!?" the barista gasped with a shocked face expression.
"Just serve him his order.", you mumbled, already used to Tecchou's worrying and upsetting choice of food combinations.
"A-Alright, however you say miss."

...

"Was there anything particularly important mentioned on the meeting I missed today?"
"Not really, there is an upcoming mission but it's still unknown."
"Great.", you took a sip from your tea peacefully knowing that you didn't miss anything significant.

The conversations between Tecchou and you were mostly calming and reassuring. He wasn't talkative, neither were you, and that's why you two got along very well. Although you didn't exchange much words, the ones you did were just enough to be understood and become people of a big importance in each other's eyes.

Silence. Just the thing you craved now.
Holy and blissful silence. But...

"Y/n is here!", a redhead girl cheered in high pitched voice with an overjoyed smile. She rapidly ran into your tight embrace. The person that could bring you back from the dead with her unexplainable amount of energy she contained whenever you met her. Even if you were eager to surrender yourself with peace at the moment, you couldn't refuse her joyful appearance. She always knew how to shake you back into reality, stopping you from zoning out and overthinking with her dramatic and energetic, mostly childish behavior.

"I apologize, hopefully you'll forgive me for missing this meeting."
"Hmm...I forgive you. Are you okay? You look tired and ill!" she gave you a worried look with her sparkling deer eyes.
"I just feel a little bit unwell but it's nothing to worry about, I promise.", you gave her a friendly, relieving smile in return, trying to make your answer look as truthful as possible.
"If you say so! Also, you didn't miss anything spectacular, it was just as boring as every other meeting..."
"Splendid."

Her acting towards you is very strange to others, since she's usually impolite towards others. Probably because you always welcomed her childishness and silliness, but still valued her as an adult when it's needed. You knew how to understand everyone, you, sometimes, even did it with ease. A thing you glorified and praised the most. It's like you were made to be the one who understands and never the understood one.

To be understood. Must be a beautiful feeling.

But how can you even ask for it when you're just a tangled mess, nobody is patient enough to untie the tight, bloody knots of your strange, unusual soul and mind? You wouldn't be able to tell anyone, it's not them, it's you. The darkness sometimes make you forget what even happened and who you even are. Just make them think you don't trust them enough, that would be easier to explain...
