No Turning Back

by Emerald

She slowly drags the blade across her skin

He starves himself to be thin

The need is impossible to overlook

This disease, no one can understand what it took

They smile and laugh "Everything's fine"

Soon you wonder why they don't dine

You see, those few skipped meals

and those petty scratches healed

Have turned into a monster so black

Scary, yet comforting, there's no turning back.
